She pretty much does nothing level 1, so see if she wants to farm and you might be able to get some harass.

Her Q will push the wave. So if you have a JG that ganks, you can try to keep the minions on your side of the lane.

When she jumps in from level 1-5, she has 3-2 seconds where she can't jump again when catching a dagger. You dont have to predict when she is going to jump, you can hit her after.

She can jump on the edge of daggers, so be careful where you stand. You can bait her to jump in by wiggling around the range of her dagger.

If you're playing neeko, then dont throw E until she jumps in. If you throw Q, walk back because she might try to go for a trade. When you dont have your cooldowns up, just dont walk into range of her shunpo. Don't ult unless you hit an empowered E. She can jump out of neeko ult pretty easily otherwise. Neeko with her Q and autos can out damage kat early if you dodge her daggers. You dont have to walk backwards, walk forward or sideways. Kat Q will always land behind you. Neeko has good base MS, so you can dodge katarina EW pretty easily if you play well.

If you want MR, just buy a magic mantle and sit on it until much later. You can build it into banshee if you want that.

Grasp is pretty good, but it depends.

If your team has enough damage or another assassin, then you can fill the role of a tankier frontline/diver. If they are full AD or AP thats even better.

A lot of the time if you build tank, nobody will kill the backline and you'll lose. So you need to assess the win condition and see if tank kat matches up with the team better than damage kat.

Pure Tank I would go Sunderer or Sunfire into Steraks. Then judge what I need from there.
