Mostly boils down to dodging skillshots or using Shunpo to hop over them.

Akali

Even

With her micro-stun removed, Akali's lvl 6 is much weaker than before VS Katarina. Respect her lvl 1-3 and give CS when necessary.

Cassiopeia

Major

Very difficult to lane VS a smart Cassio. Respect her range and engage if she ever misses a Q or wastes her W.

Ekko

Minor

With a Long Sword start, Ekko should be unable to properly proc his passive. Stop his roams and take advantage of his weaker laning phase.

Fizz

Major

He can easily use his E to dodge relevant daggers; Use Conq+Long Sword to match his W dmg and buy a Hexdrinker if necessary.

Jayce

Extreme

There is only one way to win VS a smart Jayce: Armor. Build Seeker's Armguard ASAP, or call for your jungler whenever he's at your turret. Don't worry too much though; you outscale him quite hard.

LeBlanc

Major

Very frustrating, but winnable. Don't try to contest the wave at lvl 1, and give CS whenever your HP is at risk of dropping too low. Take advantage of her long W CD, and focus on dodging her chains.

Orianna

Even

Keep your eyes on the ball, and Shunpo as soon as it flies towards you. Get her to waste mana on W, and then abuse that before she can TP back to lane.

Swain

Tiny

As soon as E comes out, jump behind him. Pre-6, Swain is incredibly weak to not only long trades, but jungle ganks too.

Zed

Even

Mostly difficult after his first back, but abusable before that. Track his Q CD and take advantage of his Ws. Let the wave come to you early on and zone him off CS. Armor stacking works great post-6.

Azir

Extreme

If versing a good Azir, this lane is unwinnable. Lucky for you, most Azir's make lots of mistakes or just can't pilot their champion properly. Look to roam into his sidelanes, or set up cheesy bush traps with your jungler.

Zoe

Minor

Alot of this lane comes down to RNG going in her favor or not. Use Shunpo to jump over her E, and pray that she doesn't pick up a free Redemption. :)

Yasuo

Major

Given the Yasuo's mechaninal prowess, this can become Katarina's hardest matchup. However, with Conq+Long Sword it becomes manageable. Very weak to jungle ganks too.

Veigar

Tiny

Simple enough lane. Abuse your stronger early game and auto him to death. Shunpo over his E and swipe that LP. hehe

Even

There is no other way around it. If this champion reaches lvl 16, you will lose. Look to harass him pre-6 and roam alot if he dies once. Never give him breathing room to feel safe.

Nocturne

Extreme

A surprising pick, and quite uncommon. However, Noc can easily win this lane with his strong waveclear and spellshield. Build armor and hope your sidelanes don't die to his roams.

Zilean

Minor

Pretty simple. Dodge his bombs, and roam post-6. Boring lane, but Zilean is mostly just looking to be an UltBot for his ADC later on.

Qiyana

Major

Rush Armour, plz...

Sejuani

Ideal

The best jungler for Katarina to have. Great way to get snowballing is to duo with a Sej and get those lvl 2-3 ganks.

Yuumi

Ideal

More healing, more speed, more damage. A Yuumi+Kat can easily 2v5 a game post-20.

Camille

Strong

Either as a jungler or a toplaner, Camille can run around with Kat and make nonstop picks.

Sona

Strong

Teamfight Goddess Sona. A good R into Kat's Death Lotus can decimate an enemy team. Great if Yuumi is banned or if the enemy has Morgana.

Bard

Bard can roam super effectively, and when paired with a Kat in Mid the two of them can make the enemy jungler's life a living nightmare.

Evelynn

Lots of fun times for the enemy team. Kat and Eve running around a map will render it almost impossible for the enemy support to set-up vision.

Shen

Low

Pretty good as support or top. Shen's job is too simply allow the Kat to jump way into the enemy backline and survive with the massive shield provided.

Blitzcrank

Low

Not as good as Bard, but can serve the same purpose. Great pick making and not a terrible early game.

Kindred

None

Counter synergy. Kindred's R can often interfere with a Kat's resets in fights, or just annoy them.

Lucian

None

Can't help each other in any way. Any other ADC is a better one for a Kat comp.
