u are right that hextech gunblade isnt as viable as it was (now it is dfg, so u can surely pick up a kill to get the first reset) but since i often decide for early power (allows me to roam (sustain or extra magic penetration)) i go for either haunting guise or hextech revolver which helps me to carry other lanes which is better then waiting for dfq to be finished and then gank
and u are wrong liandry's is good even without rylais (or better because u dont buy rylais anymore) if the enemy has tanky champs it provides mp and %health dmg (since they are tanky, they are more likely to stay in ultrange so no use in buying rylais and the %healthdmg will still hurt) but when u buy both liandrys and rylais u will lose overall in dmg(u want to be able to kill squishys real quick, i mean really quick) (slow nerf, escape mechanics by champs -> rylais slow+ult+liandrys is useless) u are more likely to burst now which is why hextech gunblade is better than rylais in most cases
U are right when u say, when other lanes are doing good, i rush big items like dfg/hourglass/rabadons

U dont have to share my opinion, i just wanted to explain my thoughts and yes early power helped me alot in carrying games early kata gank bot is insanely strong so 30+ mp and 6% mp takes botlane to 0mr
