pip00p, you'll be pleased to know that I replaced the top-rated AP kennen build with your build on my AoE CC 5 man team. I found that your guide has a much better early game (grabbing a large amount of AP very quickly) without sacrificing any late-game viability. Congrats, you're my new favorite Kennen player.

I, contrary to AdricGod, agree with you on the MPen. You sacrifice very little AP for the MPen you currently have because Kennen runs on energy. The current metagame is off-tanks and tough DPS champs, and much of them grab MR. Speaking as an off-tank Udyr and Tankplank player, I can guarantee that the MPen will not go to waste.
Also, maybe a good idea would to put the Hextech gunblade in the item build? I was pretty confused until i hit the end of the guide.
All in all, a good build.

Yeah I agree there is an overload of Magic Penetration, but it is because I am paranoid of enemy carries who have tank capabilities (Poppy, Olaf, Xin, etc.) who sometimes stack all these Negatron cloaks like crazy and still manage to destroy my team (Not gonna say OP). I am open to many ideas, and this is just my standard build so of course, I don't always use these items. I understand how you may find Haunting Guise a waste, but to me, going straight for Rylai's Scepter is very costly with about 10-15 min in the game. For the equivalent price of half of Rylai's Scepter items compared to Haunting Guise, Haunting Guise will be more efficient IMO.

Giant's Belt = 1110, Amplifying Tome = 435.
1110 + 435 = 1545
Haunting Guise = 1485

Haunting Guise = 20 Ability Power, 200 HP, 20 MP

Half Rylai's items = 20 Ability Power, 430 HP

I find that the difference between 200 and 430 HP is quite marginal and will not affect your survivability too much, since early to mid game, you will be mainly owning carries and such, besides, more MP also means more PAIN >:D

But never the less, I have tried avoiding Haunting Guise and replacing it with Hextech revolver, then upgrading it to Will of the ancients after Abyssal Scepter. I must say it works out quite well and I will test it out some more, and change my guide if I get positive results.

Decent build, looks like too much Magic Penetration though. I know with ~50% coeff's Kennen values MagPen more, but after playing Kennen for a few months I found the Haunting Guise to be a waste. More recently I go as you do Doran's Sheild to Sorc Boots, then I might do Rylais, Abyssal Scepter or straight to zhonyas depending on my opponents.

You have to remember that you will be gunning for their carry or mage most of the time, and typical magic resist on them is between 30 to 65. You are running with over 75 magic pen and an additional 20 magic reduction.

TL;DR Ditch the Haunting Guise.
