Hehe, sorry about that, it looks like the new patch must have removed them so I just put them back as they were.

Idk why this guy keeps proping up Nashor's tooth,

Screw your math bc paper means nothing neither does testing against beginner bots.

Nashor's Tooth on paper and in theoy is better, but heres the problem. You will not get in an exstra AA with only the 50%as bonus. You can argue till your blue in the face that its 50% plus 20% passive but here's the thing, the other items argued offer the 20% to so it doesn't count. Plus in testing you still get the same Number of AA, thus making Nashor's tooth a lesser item. It's gold cost is higher, and it offers less benifits than other items offered. The problem with your theory is that you think that an opp will stay in soldiers range long enough for you to get an exstra AA. Well thats not gonna happen often.. unless your in bronze and even then its not often. Without soldiers getting in and exstra AA you can put +500000% attack speed and it mean nothing. Because without the exstra attack it doesnt equal damage. So since a person can not get the exstra AA threw just useing Nash tooth it is better for them to get the exstra damage threw a better item, that gives ap over AS

I haven't played Azir that much times for saying what could be a perfect build, however I have made some tries and I have find out some nice builds.

-Rod of Ages is quite usefull both for your E scaling on health and for the nice amount of AP and sustain it gives (passive). However, it isn't strictly fundamental, it can be replaced.
-ALTERNATIVE: Rylais. Quite nice amount of health and it gives you the same ap of rod after full stacked passive. So it's just Rod's Mana (and a small amount of health) against Rylai's passive.

-Nashor Tooth it's undoubtedly the core item. Your "copies" attack speed stacks on yours. Nashor also gives you an huge amount (20%) of CDR, which is fundamental both for your W, that allow you to takedown turrets as ants, and for your passive (as stacking on cdr).

-Lich Bane: it is quite usefull, expecially in late game at helping you taking down turrets and also because your skills will have a ridiculous cooldown.

-Zhonya: it is always a good situational item, but i don't like it very much on Azir, since he has got very good escapes and very low CD on them.
-Rabadon is Rabadon. Just that.
-ALTERNATIVE: DFG. It stacks well with your passive, expecially if you don't buy Ionians. Otherwise you'll exceed the 40% cdr limit, so it's less usefull than Rabadon.
Another alternative is Morellonomicon which gives you 20% CDR, and a good passive in certain cases.

-Ionian Boots: it stacks with your passive. Quite nice. the only alternative is "Sorcerer Shoes" but those are not as good as the firsts.

OTHERS Options:
-Chalice: an alternative to morello. Gives you huge mana regen, but it's only situational. < Morello
-Abyssal: Isn't worth. Just situational.
-Guinsoo: Isn't worth. Not even situational.
-Lyandri: nope. It wouldn't be a choice of mine if not against an hard tanky team. Still stacks on soldiers' dmg.
EDIT: (misunderstanding) -Void staff: MPEN. Nice but i still prefer DFG if u didn't hit the 40% cdr. if u already have 40% cdr obviously don't buy DFG but Void (or Abyssal)
EDIT: -Will of the Ancient: Nice for the spell vamp that stacks on soldier's dmg. It still doesn't stack on W used on turrets.

I'd build like this:
1) Ionians / Sorcerers or any other kind of situational boots
2) Rod of Ages
3) Nashor Tooth
4) Lich Bane
5) Abyssal Scepter / Death Fire Grasp / Abyssal Scepter
6) Rabadon Deathcap
? Will of the Ancient
If u buy Ionians don't buy DFG obviously.
If u buy Rylais instead of RoA buy an Athene instead of the Lich Bane or prob the Abyssal. I consider Lich Bane very important since Azir will be the new "Trynda Split Pusher / Backdoorer", even better. At the end of the build you will just need to W on turrets (800 dmg) Lich Bane (400 dmg) W again (4,5 sec. cd) and Lich Bane. The turret is gone. Pick Teleport for GGWP.

What about runes and masteries? I like what your doing so far because I'm just looking at builds before I buy Azir and I was told he's not that good.

What a good guide of Azir! I can probably maybe tip you with my personal experience playing this dude.

So I feel like azir already has enough health and mr with athenes and rylai's.

So i feel swapping zhonyas and liandry(which is good items on azir) with void staff(more magic pen, because of cd boots and athenes) and nashors tooth benefits Azir more, of course it depends. Most scenrios i would swap those two.

My opinion :)

Nashors is actually a pretty bad item for azir, his passive makes up for his attack speed as he scales anyway.

Hey, great guide. Just wondering the reasoning behind the rune choices, namely the MPen quints. Wouldn't the more generic AP quints work better for laning and cs? Or do you choose MPen to harass champs better earlier on? I just find when I run the Pen quints I tend to focus more on harassing and less on cs'ing because cs'ing becomes even harder than it usually is with this champ. Becomes easy to fall behind with this.

That would actually be due to the fact that Azir has rather good AP scaling to begin with, but low starting damage unless you're willing to risk a kill to leave yourself vulnerable early on. Magic Pen is a better option over straight AP quints, or AP per level Quints, to help with early burst, and because in most situations a team won't build MR, unless the bulk of your team is AP, which seems to be fairly rare, allowing you to be a fantastic late game hyper carry that can compete with your ADC.
