Champion Build Guide
A bit about me is that when I was in first grade, I won my schools chess championship so I am obviously very smart. I am silver three, but grandmaster at heart. I have been playing league for about a year, and know a lot of things about the game which makes me a credible source for any playstyles for almost every champion in the game at his point.
Cons: Less kill power than normal Lee, less time in the spotlight, harder than other supports early on, needs lots of communication.
While it may seem like this is pretty close with pros and cons, the pros are actually much more than the cons, because you will win many more games with this strategy than any other strat with Lee.
Lee slaps the ground and marks some dudes nearby. If you recast, you slow the ones in range and yeah, not much more to the ability than that. |
Try and use a skin. If possible use Storm Dragon, but any other is fine too. However, Storm Dragon will make you win 100% of games. If you somehow lose, it is your teammates fault, no questions asked. If you wanna have a challenge, be sure to tie something around your eyes, makes it a lot more immersive.
You'll also need to select your runes and summoner spells. Guardian is almost always going to be the play into most comps bot lane, due to their range and the shield you'll need to stay in the fight. Predator is also great for roaming and a more offensive play style. You should always bring Perfect Timing and Cosmic insight secondary, in case things are going south and so you can get you flash up more often, which leads to more combos and more kills.
Flash and Ghost are necessary every game. Cleanse is also good instead of Ghost if you're going up against a team with a lot of CC to keep your squishy *** down. That's why I almost always ban people like Amumu and Nautilus when I use this strat bot, it helps his biggest weakness in bot lane.
In case of an invade, book it immediately, you are not winning that fight. Unless you have like a Sett ADC, a Darius JG and like a Riven mid or something else insanely lucky and strong early game.
Lee Sin is a champion with a lot of combos, and this playstyle doesn't change that. The only change is the combos you are performing. One of my favorites Q1 enemy ADC/Supp, Q2, E1, E2, W1 on ADC. This combo works for a quick trade in lane, but requires your ADC to be nearby. Like I said, communication is key for this strat so you both need to be alert and ready at all times.
To be honest, I'm not the best Lee Sin out there, and I'm sure you could come up with much better combos than I could. But there are a few things you need to remember, like the amount of summoner spell ability haste needed to successfully pull off everything you need to do. Many of your combos will require the use of your best friend Flash. Another favorite of mine is Walk Up > Q1 on enemy ADC/Supp > Flash behind them > E1 > R them to your ADC > Q2 for style points > E2 so they can't get away > W1 your ADC > CTRL6.
I should've mentioned this earlier, but mastery flashing is quite possibly one of your strongest abilities. It will tilt the enemy off the ****ing map, making them play like animals. This is a battle on two levels, one in the game and one in the mind. Saying **** like "L" and "Rip Bozo" will also help with this, but I'm getting off track.
Also, the amount of CS you get should have something to do with how much of an ******* your ADC is being. If they don't deserve the CS, then they don't get it. Only you get it, because only you deserve it.
You'll wanna AA as little as possible for these, the less I can understand what's happening the cooler it is. A favorite of mine is Q1 > R > Q2, seeing the bald man follow whatever poor ADC he comes across makes me so happy and I don't understand why. But whatever it is, you should do it as much as you can if you're going AD, but this guide is for AP. It'll also be a little tough if you're wearing a blindfold like I suggested earlier.
This also may be necessary if your ADC gets the wrong idea and think's you're just going to run it down. If they can't be the AD carry, then you have to. Don't be afraid to sell your support item if you truly think you need to, who do you have to answer to? You have to win, even if that requires you performing some unorthodox plays.
If you wanna do this while also going full AP, be my guest. You can try outlasting your enemies with your shield and doing most of your damage with auto attacks with your Nashors Tooth passive. I wouldn't try any kind of duel before this, unless your fighting a Lulu or something. You have pretty high base damage, and maybe you can do a sort of hybrid build for extra damage. Hell, the less reason for you to be able to win that fight, the more kick *** it becomes.
Another wacky thing you can build is full lethality. I don't recommend it for support specifically, but it works super well if you really just wanna murk some guys like they're fruit flies and you're a giant bottle of raid. Eclipse is really nice for the Q and the two instances of damage, but it's time to get back to support.
If a Talon is coming to gank you, leave immediately. However, if you and your ADC are fed enough you can show that ***** ***** whos boss by kicking his busted *** into the wall harder than old cheese. I really hate Talon, and it makes me very happy seeing that broken ***** *** champion get shoved into the dirt.
If someone on your team is rotating, get to a safe place until they show up to kick some red team ***, then join in. Your skills are very valuable in team fights, but we'll get to that later in the guide.
If it's just their ADC/Supp and the JG coming down, you can try kicking one of them away with your R, then leaving. If three or more people are coming down to try and kill you, book it immediately. Kicking one of them away if they get onto you is a no brainer, and may lead to an easy kill for you/your ADC.
Try Qing scuttle when walking through river. If scuttle has been taken by the enemy team, you can either walk around it or do a sick ward hop. However, I recommend you save your ward for later in the roam (You're gonna need it).
Upon reaching mid lane, you are faced with a choice. You can either wait to counter gank or to gank yourself. My preferred combo for ganking is: Ward behind them > W1 the ward > Q1 the laner > R to your mid laner > Q2 for the chase and to look absolutely sick > E1 > E2 > W2 > AA > Ctrl6. Like I mentioned, not only will this get you the kill, but it will also make you enemy so emotionally unstable that they may just rage quit.
Counter ganking is sort of the same as this, you just need to communicate with your laner which to focus. Communication is key, it's the golden rule for Lee Sin Support.
Roaming Top is where things get a bit funky, but it is oh so rewarding. Top lane is a pit of death, and they'll chew your little squishy *** right up and spit you out like trash. But pulling off the combo from earlier will actually make them wanna blow their brains out. This may also get your top laner a nasty shut down or the gold they need to stomp the enemy for the rest of the game. Along the way down river, remember to drop a few wards for that sweet sweet S rank.
The constant flow of CC you'll be pumping out is what wins you these fights, and you cant risk yourself getting killed. The biggest risk you'll take in these fights is most likely flashing behind the enemy team and performing the sickest, most badass kick you've ever seen, especially if you're using Storm Dragon like you should. Try Zhonyasing right afterwards so their team may get distracted and you can dash right back to your ADC and keep them safe.
This is a game in the mind too remember, and keep outwitting the enemy yourself with your absolutely massive brain, and keep this guide on your second monitor while playing.
Team fights will either be a lot easier or a lot harder, depending on your teams. Keep playing them safe and sticking with your team. While you may have the spirit of a dragon, you aren't quite as durable as one. Your strength is unmatched, and if you really wanna get weird and you have a **** ton of cash, you can change your build upon reaching the 45 minute mark.
Just go ape****, that's what I'm saying pretty much.
Depending on if you decide to follow the build or not, you're gonna be kinda squishy. Normal Lee has things like Steraks and Goredrinker to keep him in the fight, but not AP support Lee. You're squishier than a soggy marshmallow. Your strength comes from your shield, which you should be using more than any other ability in your kit. Pretend its Cassiopeia E,or Ezreal Q, it's just what you need to do.
You're also probably gonna get really, really bored if you lose lane. This build is only fun if you're winning. It's not even fun intentionally losing unlike some other things, this one is just sad and miserable. But don't let that stop you, this build is super fun whenever you pull off that sick combo and you get the kill, and your whole team praises you for being the greatest player they've ever seen.
Thank You
