I agree with purpleges, and ESPECIALLY since it's Leona, one of the more flexible tanks in the game. Besides, your W gives you a really nice armor/MR boost for 6 seconds if you play it right, which is more than enough for a teamfight. I personally always get Aegis of the Legion, but hey that's just style.

I think you should replace thornmail with warmogs. having 200/200 AND 4k hp is better than 2.8 with 330/200 imo.

Thank you for comments. I appreciate it. That's why I said that it is just one of the possible builds.

Nice Guide :) but i got to agree with Ssyrak. Id build more life or try to add auras/damage to the build. Try to end on 200 armor and mres. With your eclipse that will be far enough. Id build more life into the build. Add some items like shurelyas or Warmogs. I know you have a warmogs build included allready but id set it as the main build. Or at least variate the main build so you wont have too much armor/mres and have some auras or more life.

Gratulations for your guide to Leona. As I can see you put a lot work in it.
But it seems like you don't understand the mechanics behind armor and magic resistance yet. I wrote something about that in my own guide. I just copy & paste that:

Amor and Magic Resistance:
You are getting a lot Armor and Resistance by using Eclipse and with using CDR you can keep that buff on you almost all the time. This is why you should only buy 1 item for amor and 1 item for magic resistance! Don't buy more when possible. You might ask why:

This graph is from Google and isn't that correct. But it's enough to understand. The red graph is showing the amount of damage reduction by buying armor or magic resistance. As you can see: The more resistance you already have the less damage reduction you get by buying more armor or magic resistance. The break through (the point where it isn't recommended to buy more armor or resistance) is at about 100-150 (the marked area on the picture). At this point it is much more useful to go for life points. Leona reaches the cap of 150 with just one defensive item + Eclipse.
To sum that up: Just buy one item for armor and magic resistance and stack life after that.

The only exception is . As this is a boost to your whole team it's okay to buy that in addition to your usual defensive item.

To sum that up: Don't stuck armor and magic resistance on Leona. This is wasted money. 1 item for armor and 1 item for magic resistance (+ Aegis of the Legion for a fulltank) are most likely enough for Leona. After that go on and buy life items.
And as you get enough HP just with 1-2 items you might want to buy some support items like Shurelya's Reverie to support your team or some CDR to use your stuns more often.
