Just played though the re-make Skarner, it sure looks sick, though his Q was... the slow as hell's Windup（animation before） is killing everything, I tried everything, aaQ, WQ, EQ, Move-Q, Q-move and more still could not remove the animation，which will ground you and unable to use anything about 0.5 seconds.
Plus His E's duration time is awful with movement speed, it somehow depends on distance not time, so if you travel 1m/s you can CC them around 1.5 seconds, tho if I go full speedy item, ~6m/s you can only CC them 0.3 seconds, tho you CC them through same distance but faster, Plus E's distance is only about from mid turret to river horizon, so it will make it Very hard to controls well at max speed.
Well... everything else is seems playable, but really hopeing to remove the animation before Q, it totally makes Skanar stucks like robot.

+Thank you so much of this guide, I gave up him in 2022, with the change of item system, I tried Skanar again with your build, where I already played 12 games already, thank you again so I get to play and remember Crystal Vanguard Skarner well with those memorise. cheers!

The only good guide for with a lot of build options and matchups. I hope that this keeps its place as the best guide after the rework too. Hyvää työtä!

I love the character lorewise- and the rework of it has me worried about how it will work.
in game stuff- I love that his ultimate can catch multiple foes, making him better at teamfights. I am sad about the passive getting removed though, as it made him a beast to fight in his own turf- but also happy, since now he'll be better adjusted to fighting in lanes and outside his own zones (or so I hope).

But yeah I will overhaul this guide once I get a feel for the new skarner! Hopefully it opens a path to even more wild builds!

Hopefully so! I know the pain of having a character reworked, and I'm still concerned about changes to my darling neeko, so I wish the skarner mains luck!

This is a very-well made & stylish guide, but why are we making Skarners ability path so mixed? Why not max Q first and so on?

W sucks unless you build full tank- and acts as an speed up more or less.
So its better to balance E and Q upgrades, but yeah rushing Q or E works just fine, will add in notes
