Introduction

Soraka on dominion can really kick ***, but only if you can cooperate with your team and your team with you.

She can be one of the best tools in your team`s toolbox if used well and a great support champion.

Early game, if left unchecked, she can really kick in with damage on her starfall and the slow from ryjail`s makes her a seriously annoying interupter.

Champion Spotlight

Notice in this video how she takes down two opponents. You can really see the need for starfall in here, and the need for cooldown reduction as well.

I am sad to report, that again, there is no official spotlight just yet. And again, no real guide can be found on the u tube.

Kind of failing, this idea, to post the spotlights, since i wanted to cover as much of the old heroes as posisble first. But they all lack these video`s, so yea, sorry for that.

Runes

I take flat Ability power, Magic penetration and a bit extra armor to roll with the punches. If you do well: you will be targeted. Enemies will try to take you down, so some defensive runes are smart.

Masteries

Typical mage stuff. Extra damage early game and cooldowns lowered.

Items

Firs I`d start off with cooldown reduction boots and slowstaff. This maximizes your support capabilities and the health and slow make sure you can survive longer against enemies that come up close.

Seconldy i`d up my damage and healing capabilities but still the defensive side against ad carries, since those are midgame the biggest blades in the arena. So hourglass for armor and rest flat AP again.

Lastly, i take counter mage items, for late game the AP enemies will start becoming stronger and more dangerous. So the last two items should not be too expensive, give magic resist and some health. As well are counter mage (spell block and return magic damage).

All in all, this makes you a great supporter on dominion. You can do nice damage early and mid game and really help your team with heal and slow.

Skill Sequence

Balance.

max out all your spells to the same level as much as possible. You will have that itchy feeling to up your starfall and / or silence, but you are not as valuable as your team without your heal+ armor. if used well, this can win a fight better than higher levels of starfall. So balance them as much as possible and heal that allie. He will do the damage for you if he is a good boy or girl.

Summoner Spells

Ghost and garrison or Ghost and heal.

I prefer the last, since more people take garrison already and the heal is, especially early game and for getting the early lead at windmill, extra nice. It often saves my team at top, making 4 of us live and 0 of the enemies. Which means we can spread for more map control, go back for items safely or push further. So many options!

Pro`s and Con`s

+ Good support, with slow and silence a really good countermage
+ her ulti can counter AOE ult`s of other champions (fiddle, karthus, etc)
+ Nice early game damage
+ Nice early game boost of heal and armor on allie
+ Can really help win top teamfight for early game lead
+ Pretty lady

- Weaker against hard carries the longer the match lasts
- needs good team to thrive
- quite limited to item choice, there is really no other way than hybridding ap and defensive gear
- often targeted because of annoyingness and weakness early game
- often trolled by noobs, *not soraka, she sucks!*

Summary

All in all, soraka is a good champion to choose if you want to do some nice teamwork. She will not be a great assasin, she will die fast and she will fail if you have a bad team or just don`t have the opportunity to work with your team. Solo she can handle herself, but lategame she will become weaker and weaker, for your damage just doenst quite compare to that of a well fed tryndamere or yi.
