I mentioned the Greater Quintessence of Health as a good option in some situations. But as Lulu, most of the time you should avoid all-ins and poke down your enemy. Therefore I would get the Greater Quintessence of Ability Power.
I don't often watch pros play (just replays from normals on youtube) and have never seen one take a Doran's Shield, but if you say so, I will try to find some matches and try it myself.
You are probably right on this one, I'm gonna experiment with it and see how it works.
I don't think it does. Lulu benefits greatly from the mana regen, the magic resist is ok and it turns into one of your core items.
Is a possible option indeed, but if your ADC starts with Stealth Ward (which most do), I prefer the Sweeping Lens to set up for a good early gank, because you don't start with a Vision Ward.
They might not work in higher level play, in my ELO they are damn good. Better than you would expect.
As you say, it's a matter of preference. Maxing Whimsy is indeed a good option, but only if your ADC doesn't need the shield and can do without.

First advice: turn on c2v. You've put so much effort in this guide that it would be a waste if you'd get downvotes for no reason.

Secondly, I did downvote because of the following:

AP quints suck. Get flat health
Spellthief's edge start is questionable. 99% of the supports nowadays (in high elo) start Doran's Shield.
Masteries are questionable as well. I don't think 5 extra armor and 2 magic resist weighs up to 5% extra movement speed, 5% cdr and 10% cdr on actives. You could even go 4/5/21 to start with 10% cdr.
Chalice sucks. Don't bother with it
Don't get sweeping lens before finishing your Sightstone, start with warding trinket.
Zhonya's and abyssal are not viable for lulu.
I strongly prefer maxing W over E for the extended CC, especially if you're playing against assasins like Yasuo.
