Introduction
I like to start a with a point in Lucent Singularity because it can deal decent damage and is a great scouting tool. Then I'll max out Lucent Singularity then Light Binding for damage output. I'll pick up Prismatic Barrier at level 4 and max it out last and I'll also pick Finales Funkeln or as I like to call it THE SUPER MEGA DEATH LAZOR OF DOOM AND STUFF whenever it is avalible.
Using your abilities:
Light Binding:
Use this to keep the enemy in place so you and possibly a teammate can deal damage to them easily and late game if you get most of the items from this build Light Binding will deal tons of damage.
Prismatic Barrier:
This is what mostly makes Lux a support champion. Pop this on teammates when attacking enemies and this can really help you and your teammates survive in a bad situaution.
Lucent Singularity:
This is the main harass tool early game and can deal lots of damage late game. Use this on creep waves and enemy chamions ecspecially if their fleeing and you don't have Finales Funkeln. Also use this in bushes if you suspect enemy champions in them and if your counter-jungling with a teammate use it in the jungle a lot.
Finales Funkeln aka AWESOME:
Everyone's favorite move Finales Funkeln is just the most amazing move on Lux. It deals SO MUCH damage and is super fun to play with. (Note that this is not a global) Use this on fleeing enemies. In teamfights, if it looks like you're winning use this on those running in fear. If it looks like your losing, shoot it when you can to deal MASSIVE damage and try to hit has many enemy champs as possible

Ok Lux does need IMMENSE amounts of farming but she does need a little like 80 CS at least. I'm kinda noob and I'm in lower ELO matches but people usually play pretty agressive against Lux not knowing when she can snare you and deal massive damage on you, they'll run in fear to recall but they should at least know what to do when they see that red lazer. But back to items I like to get a good amount of AP, Health and sometimes Armor and Magic Resist.
First Buy:
Sapphire Crystal, 2 Health Pots
Early Game:
Sorc. Boots, Cataclyst, Blasting Wand/ Needlessly Large Rod
Mid Game:
Death Cap, Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Sorc. Boots
End Game:
Sorc. Boots, 2 Death Caps, Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Banshee's Veil,
The second D-Cap is only if the game goes on for that long.
This build gives me massive damage output and a lot of survivibility which can make Lux a great support that can also be an assassin at the same time.

Ill take...
9x Greater Mark of Insight Great against tanks
9x Greater Seal of Replenishment Lux can have some mana issues, this helps for them
9x Greater Glyph of Potency Adds on to the massive amount of damage Lux can deal
3x Greater Quintessence of Force Again adds on to the massive amount of damage Lux can deal

This build makes Lux a great duo bot lane with almost all champions, can deal MASSIVE amounts of damage, can play a great support, has lots of survivibility, and is scary... VERY VERY SCARY. I hope this guide helps and please rate this on how you feel to see if I'm doing good or have to change a few things and comment suggestions or about how this build works for you. (AGAIN THIS IS MY FIRST BUILD)
