I've read a lot of guides on Lux, but I've been using this build on her usually everytime I play her. (depending on how good the game is going so far).

Lux IMO is very underrated and very underestimated by a lot of people. One thing you should never do with Lux is be ahead of everyone, Lux is very squishy and will be picked off very easily if she's focused! So stay behind your team and fire your rainbows!

Lux carries hard if you play her correctly.

I usually build RoA because beginning game I'm usually against very aggressive players (they usually try to out harass but usually doesn't go well). I usually build RoA after my Mejai's, but if I find myself being outlaned I build it beforehand so I have higher sustainability to stay in lane. (Especially if you have an annoying Caitlyn mid -.-).

I always take boots + Health pots firstly, because I find myself being hit a lot because of harass and it keeps me in the lane longer. Then so on.

You can also substitute other items if you feel fit, I've based a lot of my items on how I used to build Annie when I mained her. I usually build abyssal spectre instead of Lich's Bane, but it's up to you.

I ALWAYS bring ignite + flash. It's good for those pesky runners that have barely any HP after you finish off your combo. Flash is a must on Lux, if you land your snare and flash away you're usually well off. You can also use CV if you're having a little trouble with aim. XD

You can substitute clarity instead of ignite if you're having mana problems, by mid-late game you won't have many problems at all so I see it as a waste because ignite just works better.

You'll want to max your E ASAP, it's your main way of harassing and it does quite a lot of damage.

Your combo is easily seen, Q > Auto > E > Auto > R

I usually find myself not being able to hit all auto attacks so I substitute ignite in there sometimes.

Hitting level 6 you want to save your ult, sometimes it's ideal to use it to clear minion waves so you can recall back and buy, but I find myself doing this very few times. Feel free to spam your ult sometimes, but be cautious and keep it ready at all times, because you'll want it when you see a little runner trying to port back home.

Ganking:

After you hit level 6, you'll want to check to see if any lanes need to be ganked. I usually wait till 8/9, but it's up to you for preference. Lux is an amazing ganker with her root and ult to finish people off. Be careful always because after a gank or two the enemy team may get onto your devious ways so buy a few vision wards to make sure they can't see you. With Lux you want to be sneaky and blast your enemy when they are least expecting it.



Teamfights:

WHILE you are best built AP, also remember you have a shield (not very good always) BUT! It does save a lot of lives, especially that pesky ignite or Morde ult. Use it wisely to shield teammates who are being targeted. You'll want to use your ult in teamfights when everyone is bunching together, you want to hit as many people as possible! Don't be selfish and save it for runners, unless your team has destroyed theirs in the fight.

I've seen a lot of Lux guides, but lots of the ones I've read aren't to my liking and have items that aren't to my preference, so why not make my own!
