For Runes I take Gps Quintessences for a big advantage while supportin bot(together with Philosophers u will get more money than anyone in your team trust me ;-)). The MagicPen-Marks give u early boost with saplings, armor seals and mres glyphs are 4 the defense u need as a support.
The Quintessences can be replaced by flat AP Quintessences or Cooldownreduction. For more sustain u can also take life regen quints and armor marks.

Items

For Items my Core is a Abyssal-Scepter and Shurelyas. Depending on the enemy team u can also get FoN instead of Sunfire early and build Randuins last. Rylais is a perfect option for slowing with Maokai, some Health and more Dmg. Defensive items like Thornmail are very good for more defense in fights but if ur team already has a tank build rylais or some other ap items.
