So this guide is about Maokai the twisted Tree! MY FIRST GUIDE;SRY ABOUT THE ENGLISH (German)
In my opinion he is very underrated or just nobody likes to play him.
He definetly is a awesome Tank in endgame a nice support in the whole game cause of his stuns and ult and he has a nice damage output.

I choose those runes because i think they make the allrounder possible!
im not a pro about runes but they work very well for me.
For glyphs i go full magic resist its nice to have that in start to tank as a support or to be a solo top who can take some damage.
quints i splited to be allrounder.
magic penetration is especially for my solo top so if i e w q the enemy he has very low health second time he is death most of the time....
seals i have most of em on armor flat its like mr gives u good suporting attitude and a nice solo top .

I have to say i would love if u add some comments to my runes im not pro with runes pls comment and say what u think is useless or should be better bough in game then waste runes on it :D

My Masterys are simple most of them for defense a bit for ap to get early more ap damage and the normal magic things i think like cooldown for mao is awesome and deathtimereduce etc...

I bet a lot of u wil hate this, but seriously the sapplings are so underrated they seriously rock! master them first the q last its just to stun after u used your w or to run and q the enemy away to run for example tryn hunting u q him run or q and flash he has no chance.

Suommoner spells! Flash is a must for maokai he needs it to start a fight or hunt an enemy fleeing! use flash and w into him then sappling and q to hold him at u and team will kill him or u did ;)
second summoner spell is clarity its not useless and not fail its awesome if u mastery it u can give your team mana at lategame and when jungler ganks for example and u need it to play a nice solo top i prefer to stay solo top then teleport and b u can push the lane with clarity or atack tower then u have time to b normal and be in time back at your turret so clarity is nice haters gonna hate!
if u play him support and your team has a cv on mid like lux or they dont need cv wich is fail but ok u can go clarity if not u go cv and flash

the start items are just for mana and health then shoes to get some speed and armor i build him allrounding at start its nice to have a bit of every side but ofc u have to see what the enemie takes or what is his special, so these are just the normal picks sometimes u dont need a thornmail then u maybe go mr and movement speed naturalforce... or sometimes u need more mr at the end and u dont go sunfire u go banshee so its just what i think is good for him its a nice combo of armor ap and mr and in the end u are the ultimate tank with life sunfire rylias!

All about Teamwork Mao is a nice solo champ if he is feeded so if u do a nice solo top or u get fed cause of ssome reason u are the **** even alone1 :D
but normally its all about teamplay the team has to trust u maokai initiate fights he w into the enemie pops his ult all team joins and fights in the ult if possible so he suports em then ge stuns q all enemie surronding him and sapplings ofc... if the team goes with u trusts u and u have some damage like brand or malz a nice ap mid who does a good job the enemie team is death1
u also can just ignore tank team shall ignore the tank mao rushes in w´s a squeshe the ad carry or mid team just jumps on em again ult sapling and q and the rest is easy maokai can also flash out as soon as he w´s in and poped ult and stuff so the enemys have no real focus1
