Hi I'm As I Lay Dy1ing a 2200 elo player in the NA region.
I made a guide "how to play teemo as a ward" but that got to mainstream so I went back to my roots *pun definitely intended* and started playing Maokai as a ward with great success in some scrims.

I get asked this question a lot and I got tired of answering it so I will just put it here.
As teemo you are completely ****ed if the enemy buys oracles, however with maokai blending in with the trees in the enemy jungle the they get an oracles so what they cant destroy you, you're a tree!

Which begs the question why play any champ as a ward?

Well, wards are expensive, you need to save that hard earned cash and buy items, so you play champions as a ward! Champions don't run out after 3 minutes and they can call out buff timers!

Because it is essential you blend in with the other trees, I cannot stress this enough, you have to colour code your items, I went with a nice light green look in this particular build, but is really up to you about which shade of green you buy.

I take ignite and CV, Ignite because you can ignite people as they run past as they will all be like WTF! This didn't work on teemo as it revealed him from stealth. And CV so you can use it on your self and the other team will be like "hmm since maokai used CV on this spot he isn't gonna be hiding there" -reverse psychology ftw

I take Flat health and reduced death time, in the unlikely event that you are spotted (over 50 game at above 2k elo and only been found three times) Flat health will allow you to be a ward for longer and reduced death time allows you to get back to being a ward quicker!
