good, but i recommend starting with boots and pots, getting wuju style first and not touching meditate till 13. all of this of course depending on how competent your lane mate is.

Ok, i will test it later. I think it's good for the players who are already good with master yi
For beginners, i think they should take meditate since they are still new and maybe can't farm really well. Without meditate, they might be getting back to the base too often and got underleveled

I'll totally agree with the basic core item that you mentioned:
its just the buying order difference:

buy sequence:
1. vampiric scepter (upgrade to The Bloodthirster later)
>> combine with meditate skill to extend time in front line.

2. Berserker's Greaves (need the 25% attack speed, the key point of master yi)
3. Zeal (upgrade to Phantom Dancer later)
4. Pickaxe (upgrade to Infinity Edge later)
5. B.F. Sword (upgrade to Infinity Edge later)
6. Infinity Edge

only after getting (Infinity Edge + Zeal), then only you can feel the power of master yi.

7. Phantom Dancer (almost unbeatable for 1 vs 1 in most of the cases)
8. Phage (upgrade to Frozen Mallet later)
9. Giant's Belt (upgrade to Frozen Mallet later)
10. Frozen Mallet (almost 99% the enemy champ will get killed, becoz he will never escape)
>> Slow enemy down by 40% walk speed.
11. The Bloodthirster (the 25% life steal and 100 AD is very useful to master yi).
>> master yi attack fast, 25% life steal help him to heal fast.

For next 2 items,
if there are much mage enemy champ which due heavy magic damage, stun, snare... etc.
master yi is strongly recommended to get Banshee's Veil and another Infinity Edge.

Basically, master yi can almost kill a mage type enemy in short moment. During that, master yi might be stopped by enemy magic stun or snare. Banshee's Veil helps master yi to block the enemy 1st stun/snare and enable him to continue do a few more attacks, that will good enough to slain the mage enemy champ. Normally, mage type enemy champ has less hp. Heavy magic damage still not as threatening as stun/snare, becos master yi can recover/heal fast from his fast attack (life steal). Mage enemy can only due 1 or 2 heavy magic damage, but master yi deliver heavy damage continuously. Mage enemy will normally deliver stun/snare as 1st attack.

If there is no mage type enemy champ or only 1. Just buy another 2 Infinity Edge.

Infinity Edge provides 25% changes critical strike.
30% (Phantom Dancer) + (25% x 2)(2 Infinity Edge) = 80% Changes Critical Strike

100% Critical Strike Changes for 3 Infinity Edge. (AD + (80 X 3)), super heavy damage

master yi do double damage at 7th attack = Attack Damage X 2(7th Attack) X 2.5(80% Critical changes)

that will do very heavy damage.

dont forget master yi can attack very fast. If lucky, the enemy might receive 2 7th Attack.

he'll be a godlike if equipped those items. However, he is still very easy to die in group fight as he can't resist multiple magic spell damage.

Doran's Ring and Doran's Blade are not recommended to buy. This is because it will not be used in the later upgrade and it'll be sold. Just a personal opinion. :)

1 more useful item: Tiamat.
Tiamat due 50% area damage to nearby target unit.
This is useful when master yi is not the main killer in the game and there are many minions crowded, maybe ur team's inhibitor is destroyed and lots of super minions crowded at home's main entrance. Tiamat helps master yi to kill multiple minions/super minions at the same time. This make master yi a good defender.

Just as Camperison said, the key point of the early game is get as much gold as possible.

I will do the testing this friday, but i don't think more than one infinity edge is a good idea
Infinity edge is a really expensive item, usually i only seek for the unique passive that increase critical damage to 250%

Getting more damage and critical chance from infinity edge might not be a really good idea

I think cloak and dagger is also quite good. It provides attack speed, critical chance, and tenacity

But i will do the testing first before putting it to my guide

Thx for your suggestion btw. I will also test your purchase order

really nice guide for beginners
However, I'd consider recommending Doran's Ring as starting item. Sounds funny and some ppl think you are trolling, but with Doran you can use Alpha Strike quite often to farm creeps and thx to mana regen you can "meditate" and still get your mana back.

Just saying because when i started playing Master YI i was always out of mana and people kept attacking me when i wanted to farm minions.

Thx dude, it's k. I think it's also logical. Thx for the advice
i will put it in to my next update
