Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
"AD Mordekaiser?" I hear you ask. Well it's a helluva lot better than you and my opponents may think.
Mordekaiser LOOKS as though he should be running around macing the **** out of people and being a damage fiend but his abilities just don't play to that. This build makes use of his amazing farming/laning tools and the sheer brute force of mace of spades.
I have been testing and have been getting matches where I can get up to 20+ kills with minimal deaths providing your team is suitable. This is not a viable build for playing PUGs and it is almost not worth doing at all unless you have a lane to yourself (playing mid or side lane paired with jungler. See the additional Warwick build which is basic but what you need to make this build worthwhile, there are obviously better builds out there for jungling so have your lane/gank partner take advantage of them).
Initially you will be playing very defensivley, focus on getting last hits, protecting yourself and your tower. Come level 6-7 you should have help from a jungler or the opportunity to get a kill should you be in mid. If in mid you'll need to whittle your opponent down to about half hp before attempting to kill, otherwise they can escape even with your exhaust. If laning with a jungler (Warwick if you're going by my setup for a lane) ganking is easy, just pop your ultimates and focus someone down. The buff from the ghost should secure a double kill or at least an assist bringing you to your Sword of the Occult. From here on you should go for secure kills and concentrate on staying alive after the kill to keep the snowball building. After about 6 stacks you'll realize why this build is good and why you can kill more people than an a-bomb.
Survivability comes with your sheer ability to fling a mace of spades every 3 seconds which should fill your shield rather rapidly. Do not neglect your other abilities as they can help greatly in team fights to stack extra shield. Staying alive is down to "having the best offence is a good defence" so play safe but with absolute malice and brutal destructive power.
If you have managed to fully build this without having won before getting halfway through your Black Cleaver then you either have a really good enemy team or a lacking team of your own as the surrender normally comes around 25:11. If you do in the off chance manage to build up to the point where you sell your boots for a second phantom dancer you will be an unstoppable killing machine, leading to a penta-ace gank at Baron Nashor and 6 second tower kills.
This is not a build that will guarantee wins however it will guarantee lots of fun playing "Whack-a-Champ" seeing mordekaiser swing his mace rapidly with up to 1.9k mace of spades and 1.6k auto attack crits.
Should it be requested I will go into greater detail with this scary build and give youtube video footage of me and my team at work.
