I think the point with AtS is to hit as many time as possible with the shield up, not for the DoT, but for the AoE, since you are always in the middle of the teamfight with naut :)

The Dot is the AOE
AkA with his shield up he applies a DOT when he auto attacks, the DOT is Applied to ALL targets in range not just what he auto attacked.
The dot last 2sec and dose not stack so more auto attacks when the shield up will not give you more applications of the Dot.

We can only get a max of 5 Dot applications form one use of W. At max rank the total damage form one use of W is caped at 750 +40% AP.

and btw 825g is a lot of gold to tie up over 27:30mins for 250 HP on HOG. I build frozen heart anyways for the CDR.

To be clear more attack speed doesn't actually improve you're W correct? Since it applies a 2 second damage over time an attack every 2 seconds would be the most possible damage

@ Shafferson, IMO your lategame role isn't too do damage.

But I'd suggest going RoA and Abyssal rather then Warmogs and FoN.

@ infleto, since HoG builds into Randuins, I don't see a reason not to start off with it.
Even more so, since your W scales with HP.

- If I was to leave out HoG, I would defo rush Mogs and Wits, and let the rest of the build be FoN, Frozen Heart and Triforce.

Heart of gold (HoG) takes 27:30 to play for its self. Yet delays your warmonger and wit's end back by 825g.

The HP is a win/loss.
You get 250 HP now but you have to live with that longer. If you start regrow pendent+pot, and Rush warmongers you will get the 920 HP form it about the same time as the 250 HP form HoG.

Common reason tells you to take HoG early to pay for its self. (common reason said the world was flat too)

A faster warmongers + wit's end could give you sooner/stronger mid game team-fights. So, is the chance of getting xp/gold for your team worth paying 825 more gold at the 27 min mark?

yes wit's end is awesome early. I've had a few games where I did so well that I upgraded to madreds late. I prefer building damage like this much more than those would try to get some AP on him.

You're right Epouvantail, i actually should put in some alternatives for items, since both Abyssal and RoA are viable, but more situational imo.

Ill get working on that items section, and have that up and running soon.

And @ shafferson, the reason I pick Wit's end, is that it is a very costefficient item, that grants some much needed AtS.

I feel that Madreds would also be good, but it'll cost alot, and thing like Phanton and Ionic Spark, just wont produce the same results. :)

I'll try and cover it in the new items section :)

Yeah,i'm using roughly the same build for my FLOATTING JUNGLING TANK, except i get a RoA instead of the Warmog and an Abyssal Scepter instead of the FoN. What is your opinion on those items ? You really should do an item section for more diversity :D
