Demon Shade (PASSIVE)
Evelynn Passive Ability
The new Eve: Bruiser
The bad news about this is that Eve needs to be tanky and won't be running up and 1 shotting carries like the days of old. The good news is, that she seems to have the tools to still deal a lot of damage without having a ton of offensive stats.
Eve's new kit appears to synergize with many of the bruiser items used to "cheat" extra damage.
Evelynn fades away into the shadows. She can only be seen by nearby enemy Champions or true sight
While in stealth, Evelynn regenerates 1% of her max Mana every second
Casting spells, taking damage, or dealing damage unstealths Evelynn for 8 seconds
Hate Spike
19/23/27/31/35 Mana, 1.5 second Cooldown
Evelynn fires a line of spikes through a nearby enemy, dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+0.45 Ability Power) (+0.4 bonus Attack Damage) magic damage to all enemies in its path
Hate Spike prioritizes what Evelynn has attacked recently
Dark Frenzy
No Cost, 20 second Cooldown
Passive: Evelynn's spell hits on enemy Champions grant her 4/8/12/16/20 Movement Speed for 3 seconds (effect stacks up to 4 times)
Active: Evelynn removes all slows affecting her and gains 30/40/50/60/70% Movement Speed for 3 seconds
Champion kills and assists refresh Dark Frenzy's cooldown
Ravage
50/55/60/65/70 Mana, 9 second Cooldown
Evelynn slashes a target enemy 2 times, dealing 35/60/85/110/135 (+0.5 Ability Power) (+0.4 bonus Attack Damage) magic damage with each strike
Evelynn then gains 60/75/90/105/120% Attack Speed for 3 seconds
Agony's Embrace
100 Mana, 150/120/90 second Cooldown
Evelynn impales all enemies in the targeted area, dealing 15/20/25% (+1% per 50 Ability Power) of their maximum Health in magic damage and slowing their Movement Speed by 30/50/70% for 2 seconds
Evelynn siphons their pain, gaining a 150/225/300 health shield for each enemy Champion hit which lasts up to 6 seconds
While Eve doesn't have fool-proof scouting ability like she used to, she is still very very hard to ward against.
This makes her ganks very potent and very expensive to ward against.
The items I chose for Eve aline with her skill set.
My goal for her items was to bring as much damage to the table as possible for minimum cost.
I abuse parts of Eve's kit to make these items produce more damage than they would at face value.
For instance Sheen will steadily proc because of Eve's ability Hate Spike having a 1.5 second cd (base).
Wit's End will proc more rapidly due to her ravage providing bonus AS for a duration and because rage blade will build stacks rapidly due to Hate Spike and her AS items/steroid.
These items are on the low end of cost but will out perform many high cost items on Eve due to her kit.
Eve is also build as a hybrid with rage blade and Trinity Force as two of her skills have both AD and AP ratios.
Her dual penetration marks and quints reflect this hybrid build.
The regrowth pendent and hp potion are there to help Eve with her initial clear. Rather than use a gimmicky revive path, I chose a more traditional Skarner style start using hate spike as her primary jungling tool.
I then upgrade the regrowth pendent into a philosopher's stone to provide Eve with additional hp regeneration and to sustain her jungle when she doesn't have blue buff. The philo stone will also provide an secondary income.
I next grab boots to help her gank. Boots will limit the time between when she is visible and when she is in melee range of her target. Getting boots asap is essential for successful ganking.
I next build a Sheen or Mobility Boots depending on how much gold is available on the next return. A Sheen is going to make Eve combat effective while the boots are going to allow Eve to get to targets before they can react to her appearing.
Next we'll buy some armor keep Eve close to full hp while jungling. A Glacial Shroud will reduce her cds for more sheen procs. This means more damage on ganks and faster jungling while also making her more rigid and improving her mana pool.
The next item is a Wit's End this will help Eve defensively providing her a good amount of MR while also helping her offensively as it synergizes well with Ravage's AS steroid.
The next item is Rage Blade this synergizes with Eve's whole kit. It will be a massive dps increase for her for a modest cost.
After rage blade we upgrade the philosopher's stone to a Shurelya's Battlesong to provide Eve with a faster engagement, additional CDR, more HP regen and more MP regen.
If the game lasts long enough, we then upgrade Sheen into a Trinity Force and Glacial Shroud into Frozen Heart to complete the build.
The build, over all, is fairly inexpensive. In a game with a typical income, we can expect to complete Shurelya's Battlesong. The build will usually be completed in a 45 minute game.
