the new runes allows you to get a huge gold lead by combining it with other runes and allow you to earn gold. you can easily get a 3k+ bonus gold just from runes. kindred is a ranged champion and so its very easy to attack first and activate the rune.
you can also use blue smite to insure you attack first in your ganks. when you gank try coming behing your enemy and slowing them with e.
