Because u will get enough attack speed from the black cleaver and the phantom dancer .

I like ur build I'm gonna try it but I recommend u start with a dorans blade while laning and change the ghost blade with a blood thirster for extra damage and life steal :)

I am testing it atm and it works great indeed, thank you for the tip. Will change it after the build :).

The Brutalizer is a fantastic early game item, since armor pen is more effective against targets with low armor. Penetrating high-armor targets has less of an impact since armor has diminishing returns. The more armor you stack, the less effective each point is. Therefore penetrating lightly armored targets in the early game is really strong.

If you have a lot of gold you could just rush Black Cleaver. B. F. Sword items give a ton of DPS, but they're more expensive to build.

Which damage item would you recommend? I usually use tiamat for damage and splash (and the regen is nice too, altough not too important) During the current game I am going brutalizer

Still, if it's a long laning phase you have Duskbringer and Umbra Blades. They work far better than a regular melee champion with a Tiamat. Your pushing would actually be stronger if you bought a damage item earlier instead (especially against towers, since the splash doesn't help you push them).

I see what you mean, I just had a game where I didn't build (or need) tiamat. Tiamat is more for games which you think/know will have a long laning phase in which case you might want to push and destroy towers when possible. Will clarify it in the item guide. Also changed recommended masteries, will see what I think after playing a game with it.

I said jungling / last-hitting. The slash means either. If you're laning, that's great for you. That actually meant Tiamat is even a worse option.

AND I pointed out that you should be last-hitting, not pushing your lane with splash damage. You shouldn't be farming early game. Last-hitting means you take out one minion at a time when they're low health. You hardly need a Tiamat to do that.

This is a laning build, not a jungling build, remember that. Again people please read the build. this is the second time someone didn't read it (or at least skimmed it)

As I said you sell tiamat later on as you'll be strong enough to farm without it. (or there won't be lane opponents preventing you.)

I'll try this build in ranked soon(tm)

Don't listen to Realm, Sword of the Divine should only be used against Jax (who's about to have his dodge removed) and Last Whisper would just be terrible with this build.

I would recommend using a 21/0/9 or 21/9/0 build mostly because Havoc is mathematically terrible and there isn't much point in spending more points in the offensive tree. Anything beyond 21 in offense is kind of a waste of stats unless you're some sort of hybrid champion maybe.

And please don't ever build Tiamat on Nocturne. It's a bad enough item as it is. Nocturne is one of the strongest farmers in the game using only Duskbringer and Umbra Blades. Early game you should be jungling/last-hitting (if you're in lane for some reason). Mid game you can start farming whole waves, and by that time you won't need any help doing so. One Duskbringer and a proc of Umbra Blades can clear an entire wave. No Tiamat necessary. You're just wasting your gold.
