Your guide is exactly how I play him but I build slightly differently. I don't buy mallet, bloodthirster or Blade of the ruined king because that's just not my style. I go for
early game
Timat, zeal, dagger
Mid game
Static shiv, Ravenous, Beserkers Greaves

then the final build I focus on the kills so I buy an infinity so I get the crit boost as well as the extra damage. Now I have my final build I have two ways to go on my next item. If I am getting killed a bit then I buy the warmogs armor for that extra health or I buy the phantom dancer for that massive 50% attack speed and 30% crit

so with my build I do massive damage with my crits which are landing every other hit and massive damage output as well as massive attack speed. my crits do 700 ddamage because of the extra 50% crit damage from the infinity blade.

I feel that with this build you don't need the frozen mallet or the blade of the ruined king because with the unspeakable horror you don't need the slows as you put in enough damage with attack speed and crits that you can kill them in a couple of seconds. Even if they survive and run all you have to do is either ult on them or just follow the dusk trail

Just as a sidenote it's amazing how much extra damage you do whilst on the dusk trail. 55 plus may not seem like much but when you think about the critical attacks doing 250% attack damage every other hit, that is a hell of a lot of damage

Your guide is awesome, Striker. Sans the Hydra and Bloodthirster, this is exactly how I did it. That Hydra is amazing though. Don't always get to Bloodthirster. One thing I do differently than you: I get Shroud on my third level, sometimes fourth. The extra attack speed is nice, as is blocking abilities in a jam.

Your pros and cons are spot on, too. The guide is great for anyone wanting to play Nocturne.

Keep up the good work. Have fun.

@Syvvak Thank you very much! I appreciate the nice words, and I'm pleased that you like the guide! :-).

Your masteries are all kinds of weird. Points in Runic Blessing and magic resistance? Legendary Guardian is much stronger than getting just MR and Perseverance is almost useless without full 3 points. Also I would recommend getting Double-Edged Sword instead of Expose Weakness. You should have your flat defenses in runes which is why think you should have armor yellows and MR blues.

@MetalBiM Thank you for your response! I will look into it, and assess if I agree with you, or not. I definitely see your points
