Introduction

Nocturne

Nocturne is an AD character, with a big potential. He is often underestimated. Nocturne has the potential to crush every enemy on his path, and let them fear him. Nocturne is definitely one of my personal favorite champs. If played wisely, he will be your enemy's worst nightmare.
Nocturne got a huge ganking potential, and he is capable of jumping into a fight, when the Tank has engaged. Just a swift push at the R button, and all hell breaks loose. Nocturne got his ultimate, Paranoia which is every squishy characters worst nightmare.

Here is a guide on, how to build a very strong offtank, who almost can't be taken down, unless he is focused by the entire team. The only thing you need is lots of AD, crit, attack speed, lifesteal and a little health.

Runes

I will recommend you, to follow my runeset, even though it is a bit expensive. It fits to most melee AD champions.
Grab the AD marks, because those are the runes, with the most AD. You should also buy some AD quints, while at it.
I will also advice you to pick up the attack speed glyphs, and the health seals.

Skill Sequence

Start off with your Q Duskbringer, and make sure to hit your target(s). Make sure to stay on the trail of the path. in order to gain movement speed, and AD.
When you have catched your target, then land your e Unspeakable Horror, and make sure to stay near target, in order to complete the fear. When the enemy is feared then use your basic attacks. If the target engages you, then use your W Shroud of Darkness to block the first ability, and to gain some more attackspeed. This attack is also very effective to dodge Nidalee spears.
Your ulti, R Paranoia I will suggest you save, for jumping into teamfights, or catching fleeing champions. If used with skills, it can get you out of combat, if you spot a lonely enemy champion. You should focus the marskman (ADC) and the mage/caster (APC), since they usually do the most damage, and are squishy. If the top-champion is squishy i.e. Nidalee, Akali, Master Yi or Teemo. You probably got an idea of, which champions are chargeable.
So (R) -> Q -> E -> W.

( Paranoia) -> Duskbringer -> Unspeakable Horror -> Shroud of Darkness

Spells

IMO the Flash Ignite is the best choice.
You could go with Exhaust to make sure, that your enemies don't walk away, and to make sure, that the ADs won't hurt as much.
Also Heal or Barrier are good choices, but only if you are unsure, whether or not you will be able to survive throughout the games, and in order to stay in fights.
If you want to be in your lane, as much as possible, the Teleport is good too. But you don't really need it, cause your Paranoia will get you to your target anyways.

Farming

After getting Tiamat, farming will get alot easier. Use the active when farming, and make sure to use your Q Duskbringer and stand on the area, to get the aditional dmg. But you should only do this, if you feel like, you are having enough mana. Also mana pots are good, for the aditional mana.
Also, remember your passive umbre blades which gives some extra damage to surrounding minions. Hit as many as possible, to heal as much as possible, since it heals you for 10hp for each target hit from lvl 1 untill lvl 6, 18hp from lvl 6 and 26hp from lvl 12. Use the passive on the Duskbringer trail for additional damage!
