Hi guys, my name is Svedekaj and welcome to my Nocturne guide. The goal of this guide for me is to give you tips and tricks on how to be a better jungler as Nocturne.

This is my first guide so don't expect it to be perfect or anything! If you have think i did something wrong in this guide then tell me so i can change it.

This is NOT a laning guide, since i think that Nocturne is more of a jungler than a laner. But i think that you can use this as laning build aswell.

Pros / Cons

Pros
+ Clears camps fast and lane pushing
+ Good at ganking pre-6 and post-6
+ All abilities can be used offensively and defensively
+ High base damage and natural steroids allow for a tanky build
+ Awesome at everything

Cons
- Often focused in teamfights
- Not that good against ganks (but then again, who is?]
- Duskbringer takes some practice to pull of every time
- Paranoia has short range at early levels

Abilities

Umbra Blades - Every 10 seconds, Nocturne's next attack strikes surrounding enemies for 120% physical damage and heals himself.

Nocturne's basic attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second.

Duskbringer - Nocturne throws a shadow blade that deals damage, leaves a Dusk Trail, and causes champions to leave a Dusk Trail. While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and has increased Movement Speed and Attack Damage.
Nocturne throws a shadow blade that deals 60/105/150/195/240 (+0.75) physical damage and leaves a Dusk Trail for 5 seconds. Enemy champions hit also leave a Dusk Trail.

While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and gains 15/20/25/30/35% Movement Speed and 15/25/35/45/55 Attack Damage.

Shroud of Darkness - Nocturne empowers his blades, passively gaining attack speed. Activating Shroud of Darkness allows Nocturne to fade into the shadows, creating a magical barrier which blocks a single enemy ability and doubles his passive attack speed if successful.
Passive: Nocturne has 20/25/30/35/40% bonus Attack Speed.

Active: Nocturne creates a magical barrier for 1.5 seconds, which blocks the next enemy ability.

If an ability is blocked by the shield, Nocturne's passive Attack Speed bonus doubles for 5 seconds.

Unspeakable Horror - Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing damage each second and fearing the target if they do not get out of range by the end of the duration.
Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+1) magic damage over 2 seconds. If Nocturne stays within range of the target for the full duration, the target becomes feared for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s)

Paranoia - Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision in the process. He can then launch himself at a nearby enemy champion.
Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision for 4 seconds.

While Paranoia is active, Nocturne can launch himself at an enemy champion, dealing 150/250/350 (+1.2) physical damage.

Skill Sequence

This is a pretty standard skill sequence for Nocturne, and shouldn't require much deviation. Take Duskbringer at level one to help you jungle. Grab one point in Shroud of Darkness for the attack speed steroid as well as the handy spell shield.. Get another point in Duskbringer, then get Unspeakable Horror the fear wich is pretty usefull when you gank.

Of course, always get a point in your ultimate when it is available. Prioritize Duskbringer for the damage on the skillshot as well as the damage bonus on the trail.

Jungling

# I start at the golems, get your teammate to help you pull blue buff for you. Use your Q ( Duskbringer) and make sure you hit them all. When the golem is low enough use your Smite.

# After that i go straight for the wolve's camp. Stand beside one of the smaller wolves and hit all of them at once. Make sure you hit all of the creeps with your passive.

# Next you take the wraith's, use your Q in the middle of them and follow up by using Shroud of Darkness. If your passive isn't on cooldown anymore make sure you stand in the middle of the camp to hit them all.

# After the wraith's you use you potions to get full health and then you hit the Lizard with your Q followed up by your W and then your passive. When the Lizard is low enough use your smite to deal the last damage.

# If you have enough health go for the smaller golems, use the same method as with the other camps. If you don't have enough, then recall and start your jungle route over.

Ganking tips

When ganking, always go for the squishy targets at early levels.

When you gank, make sure you hit your Q Duskbringer, if you do this then use Unspeakable Horror and Shroud of Darkness. If your target isn't dead yet finish of by dashing into him with your Paranoia.
