Have your mates leash blue for you. I'm going to redo this guide as I have played Nunu extensively in ranked, and watched some great Nunu streams - and I have learned a LOT! My revamping should make the guide much better.

I managed to take blue with desolation marks and quints now, altho I do think it would be nicer to have the magic pen :S

All the times I've tried to do blue at level 1 with Nunu have failed.

I dont jungle a lot, I have before but never intensively and I just tried jungling with nunu and failed taking blue twice. I have 9/0/21 masteries flat hp seals and quints, glyps of focus and magic pen marks. I wait for the golem to hit me twice then consume and I use my smite, I died two times now. Once by taking a ruby crystal and once by taking boots and a few pots ( yes I used one, after the consume ).
What am I doing wrong? :|
I'm testing this in a custom game so I cant have anyone autoattacking it, can nunu rlly not take blue on his own on lv1?

I never said you had to wait until level 6. Please read the guide thoroughly.
It is recommended that one waits, at the very, very least, until they get ice blast, so that their gank actually does something. Otherwise you are wasting time you could be spending leveling up.

wait for lvl 6 for ganking as nunu? your kidding me? the strenght of nunu as a jungler is to be able to pause/restart his jungle when he want where he want whatever how much life he have and which items you bought , making all lanes AND enemy jungler unsafe as soon as his lvl 2
if you want to wait lvl 6 for ganking play WW its just pure potential waste

I'm surprised you didn't mention Will of the Ancients. Using Aura on Nunu is a really great idea, as he is in the middle of teamfights. And with Spell Vamp, your ult will give you life, which is pretty awesome, as you usually take a lot of damage when you land your ult.
Anyway, these items are really great (even Frozen Heart, my favourite item on Nunu <3) and that's pretty much how I play Nunu, but I almost never played him jungle. So great build!

My point was that you should focus on getting that 30magic pen instead of the 15% in masteries. They'll need to be at over 100MR for the 15% to be as effective. Abyssal Scepter just synergizes sooo well with Nunu that it's simply a better idea to go for flat magic pen.
You do know that you get less effective magic pen when you combine other types with % magic pen, don't you?


Nunu's biggest weakness in lategame is his damage(other than his ult, but he rarely gets that off). If that's not clear to you, you must be very inexperienced.

A nice build, but it seems he is left a bit easy to kill. Id recommend something tanky depending on the setup of the opposing team. If u play public most ppl will see you as a tank when u pick nunu, so make sure you clarify how u intend to play when u pick. +1
