Welcome to my Olaf guide: In this guide I will present you my play-style and focus on lane Olaf. I will present the most importmant things about Olaf and the way he can lead you to the victory.

For runes I mainly would advise to take Armor penetration, Attack damage and some Armor rune's. For Early game. But otherwise I will not put a high point on the Rune's. As I think many of you do not/ can't use rune's.

For masteries I take a 9/21 set. It gives you the early game armor, magic resist and health so you can stay on lane longer and farm. The offense, gives you more harrasing damage and last hitting will be easier.

Doran's Shield: The reason I choose this item is because I want to stay on the lane as long as I can and farm, And that Harrasing would be easier. It gives me the tank feeling at the beginning. And can sometime's save your life.

Boots Getting some speed later is useful, especially if they have a jungler (Ganking)
But also for chasing down or escaping, Take a health potion also, if you get in dangerous situations, because in this moments alot of action happens, a potion can save your life, It can be an response to ignite and block the damage you would take from the ignite.

Phage Phage is an perfect item for Olaf the attack damage and the health really help, and later you build it in frozen mallet which is a must have for Olaf, Phage will be your item in the start when you will be able to play more agressive, but it's very importmant that you farm!

Mercury's Treads Treads These boot's are my favourite the tenacity and the magic resist, make's me even more tankier! But the best it's it gives you speed, less stun duration also more magic resist. Life-savers if you ask me.

Vampiric Scepter Take it for the little money, helps you to stay on lane longer, if you get low on hp focus on farm and health will jump up, you also may pay a visit to the jungle and get some extra money and xp.

Frozen Mallet The must have item: Health damage and It's passive give's you great chasing potential. Combined with your abilities you will soon become unstoppable.

Emblem of Valour Take it for the life-steal boost and to upgrade it later. To stark's favor, and your crazy life-steal and attack speed will make you very powerfull.

Youmuu's GhostbladeVery good item, always remember to use his active really! When in a fight you can't lose when using the active. It's very importmant not to forget. REALLY DON'T FORGET!!!!

Phantom Dancer and Black Cleaver These two item's explain them-self more damage and attack speed the critical you are unstoppable m8.

I think Ghost is better then flash, it has longer duration and using correctly can get you further from the enemy, or closer ( you will get closer often right?) Also the ignite give's you the early game first blood easier and late-game does nice damage so it will you help you in a 1 on 1 situation or when a enemy is too far for you to finish.

PROS:

Tanky
Nice damage
Avarage jungler
Easy to learn

CONS:
Farming may be difficult.
You may need to practice his axe throw.
Knowing when to use his abillities is importmant

The most importmant aspect of the game for Olaf! If you will Farm you are feeded sometimes alot of minion kills mean more then champion kills! it's very importmant to last hit. And also when I play I ask my friend to play Sona (support)- Gives me more AD and allows me to farm easily and heals me often which really helps!
