Try the build. You have to love it.

Dorans shield is very good early game, I outlane any mage, or any Kat, because of Dorans Shield, The spell vamp runes give you 6% , plus the masteries, 1/2/3% = 9% . Use your Q's, and let the shield regen your health, and before you know it, health will come by fast, Boots with pots can't beat this. Trust me. I get easy Penta kills with Kat.

This build is really good if you're playing premade, use the passive well.

I use Sinister Steel just to catch up to my enemies, but you mostly want to abuse your Hextech, or Deathfire, it doesn't matter what you rush first.

Q+E+HEX+DEATHGRASP=GG.

I Honestly don't think that building flat ap for Kat is good, because you will need the hextech, it really comes in handy, to chase enemies, and good penta's, mostly you'll get burst down, but if you know how to not get caught it's all bad, it's not easy just by you getting in, Bouncing those blades, Shooting that shunpo at the squishiest, Throw that Death Lotus, and watch the melt, as everyone runs, shunpo, and shunpo, and shunpo, that's how easy it is when you're playing against dumb noobs, But if they're good. Then that's when the spell vamp comes in handy because you'll need it to survive when you start to get focused more, plus the shunpo reduced damage. Ooooh, so beautiful. Love Kat.
