I've tried every single build with Orianna, including AD (lol just about as effective as AP soraka) but yeah, I've tried AP Nuking and it worked out great. I just didn't enjoy being vulnerable. Even with positioning, I was extremely susceptible to cc. I haven't finished my build yet, I still have much more to go .__.

You should try out a glass cannon build with early deathcap. If you're positioning yourself and picking good fights, then you should hardly take any dmg at all while doing insane amounts. If you didn't know, deathcap increases your TOTAL ap by 30%. Say you have 300 ap before the deathcap. approx ap with it is 450+150 from godly passive. I hope you can see the giant difference.

Glad to see you switched ignite for flash.

My summoner spells are Flash/Clarity. And yeah, early-game, though. Late-game the use of Clarity goes away (unless my team needs it) but early-game wouldn't go smoothly without it. It's a must-have on Orianna, unless you get full mana regen reds/yellows/blues/quints. I usually don't have the problem of needing to buy wards due to my map perception, and using my ball to scout areas where I feel vulnerable. The faster you get a turret down, the faster the gold comes and the faster you can push other lanes. I don't like to buy a deathcap, to me, it's overpriced when I could just stack on Mejai's and get the same thing. You should read the build ._. there's an add-on, don't know if you can see it.

No escape summoner? Flash is so helpful though. You get an eleisa's, catalyst, AND tear of goddess while having clarity? This gimps you so much. No flash leaves you open for ganks 24/7 and I'm assuming you use skills to farm in lane. Using skills make your lane push MORE and that is what you don't want. You'll be afraid of overextending and will end up buying wards to prevent ganks that are already preventable. If you are using skills to harrass the other champ and zoning, it will still cause the lane to push because the enemy won't be able to last hit, but you are. Another thing when I mean by gimping. You buy 3 high price items before your deathcap AND something for tenacity. Deathcap should always be your 1st-3rd main item. It gives you large ap to couple with your early-mid game prowess as an ap carry. I'll see what you think about my post before voting. By the way, you need to ask the jungler for blue starting from the 2nd or 3rd. It's most useful on an ap carry. no exceptions.
