Taliyah
Very big threat. If you face her as a support, prepare your anus, cause she will deal so much damage with her E since you are constantly dashing through the lane.
Introduction.
My main inspiration to play League of Legends is, if you haven't guessed yet, Likkrit! (The godlike support from M19 <3)
This is my first guide so, don't expect it to be very good.. But I tried to put as much information in it as possible!
A good example is Miss Fortune.
If Rakan moves in with his R + W Combo, and Miss Fortune ults, it's guaranteed to kill someone, especially because you will knock them up AND charm them, while both dealing damage, and of course the Miss Fortune ult on their faces.
Xayah is an obvious pick, since they are constantly talking about how much they want to bang eacho- I mean kiss eachother. They have a pretty good synergy and will allow you to dash out of more dangerous situations.
A strange one is actually Jinx:
Jinx and Rakan have a good synergy because Jinx can slow enemies, making it a quick entrance for Rakan by ulting or W'ing in, leaving Jinx to only place her E.
Speaking about placing things, Caitlyn is also good with Rakan.
Same story as with jinx, slowing people, knocking them up or charming them, then a trap. Boom. Guaranteed kill.
Q - Gleaming Quill:
This is the ability I like to max second, due to your E, Battle Dance being more reliable then your Q, because your shield will not be affected by Grievous Wounds.
W - Grand Entrance:
This ability you should max last, because it's mainly used for it's knock-up, not the damage. Maxing your Q, Gleaming Quill and E, Battle Dance will help you and your team much more as a support.
E - Battle Dance:
This ability you should max FIRST (In my opinion). It's a very reliable save because all you do it point and click. Sometimes you could mess up your positioning with both your W, Grand Entrance and your E, Battle Dance. Be careful while moving around!
R - (Get Down with) The Quickness (Oooh a a, a a.)
Rakan's ultimate move, The Quickness will allow you to move at a very high speed, rushing through the enemy team while charming them. This ability is great in teamfights, especially if you have a lot of allies with AoE damage, because all enemies charmed by Rakan's ult, will get clumbed up together, making it an easy pick for for example:
Annie R, Summon: Tibbers.
Miss Fortune R, Bullet Time.
Veigar W, Dark Matter.
Gangplank E, Powder Keg. (Also known as: Barrel.)
Gangplank R, Cannon Barrage.
In-lane combo for fast trading:
- E, W, Q, AA, E
Explanation:
Start by using your E, Battle Dance, to dash to your ally, follow up with a smoothly timed W, Grand Entrance for a unexpected knock-up. Then use your Q, Gleaming Quill to get some easy damage and also a heal during your combo. Auto-Attack during the combo for maximum damage. After you've done this, E out, making it a flawless trade (almost) every time.
Teamfight focussed combo:
- R, E, W, Q, AA, E
Explanation:
Starting with your R, The Quickness, will allow you to clear more distance in a shorter time period. Follow up with an E to an ally, then W in for some great crowd control. Follow in with a Q for damage and throw in a couple of Auto-Attacks to amplify your damage. Finish the combo by using your E back to an ally.
Smooth Combo's:
- Q, W
Explanation: Basically just an animation cancel for your Q.
- E, W
Explanation: Smooth movement, making it harder for enemies to react.
- R, Q, W
Explanation: Smooth R with Q animation cancel in it.
As you can see here, my winrate with Rakan is currently 71% in 31 Games.
Almost every game I have used this build, and it has worked very good.
My reccomendation is that you try this build for yourself and see if it also works for you!
Thank you for reading my guide, see you next time!
