Poppy Guide
Poppy the little nuker [AD]
Very similar to my Poppy build.
I would suggest getting Mercury's Treads instead of Ninja Tabi if you want some defensive boots. As you said, a good stun can shut you down, so the crowd control reduction would help immensely. Also, I've personally found Black Cleaver to help more with damage then the Last Whisper so you may want to try that.
Add some more info (playstyle section or something?) and you'll earn your +1 from me.
