Very solid build. Just tanky enough to jump into a fight and live to come back out, but not so tanky as to detract from the damage output.
I especially like the early point in Hiten Style; I see a few other builds skipping out on ranking this skill until later in the game, and from my (albeit minimal) experience with Irelia, even just the single point can make you a 1v1 champ.

I'm not a huge fan of the Warmog's Armor, like a few others, but I can definitely see its use on Irelia. For 3k gold, I would likely choose Randuin's Omen myself, partly for the armor and CDR, and partly for the active; but like you mention a few times, it comes down to playstyle (and in a game where the armor looks to be a wasted effort - way too much AP - I'd definitely look at the Warmog's in a different light).

Also just personally a huge fan of the Ghostblade, the active being amazing for knocking turrets, and the attack speed in general feeding Hiten Style nicely (Stark's achieves the same and better, though less useful for towers).

Might I recommend using the {icon=xxxxx size=xx} format for icons you are using as headings instead of the {{xxxxx}} format? Looks much better. The second one is best when used in the text itself.

Looks solid to me. I like the way you went into giving alternate choices (for other play styles) and explaining how they could work/not work with this build/champion.

I love the idea of an Irelia that doesen't die each time fight, but I dislike Warmog on Irelia, like you said yourself, it's expensive and imo, unless your getting al the kills, your wasting your time getting it, altough the spirits visage is a nice alternitive

Nice guide and build...
But I would personally prefer stark's fervor before Youmuu's Ghostblade, because it gives more armor reduction/penetration and more attack damage for nearly the same price
