Intro
Ezreal isn't like your run of the mill AD carry's. he doesnt do moutains of damage like jihn, his kit doesnt offer any sort of engage like kallista, and hes not a tank killer like vayne.
He does however, offer heavy poke and mobility PLUS a decent amount of safety thanks to his E ability.
In This Guide im going to be sharing builds, matchups, and comps he goes well with, as shown above
Pros:
1. Very safe with his e, almost uncatchable
2. High burst, with low cooldowns
3. Global ultimate
4. passive allows him the option of not buying attack speed items
5. strong early-mid game
Cons
1. Weak to burst champs with high mobility, like leblanc, khazix, and zed
2. not as much up front damage as traditional ad carrys, such as lucian. but with the highest amount of poke and utiliy in class.
3. skillshot reliant
4. weak late game

In teamfights with ezreal, you cant just blink in with your e and expect to do anything, you have to stay back behind your frontline, and provide poke with your q/w while keepign your passive stacks up to auto attack. try to keep your passive stacks at 5 as much as possible, its his only attack speed steroid. if played correctly, you can provide constant damage with your autos, and heavy poke with your q, plus your w also acts as an attack speed steroid for your teamates.
teamcomps that work well with ezreal, are generally comps that can compliment his strengths well, and cover his weaknesses. since ezreal is weak to heavy burst, you want a support or toplaner who can keep you alive, for supports i find zilean and janna work well. you want a toplaner who can add some cc into the mix, like trundle. and a high mobility midlaner who can dive the enemys backline with relative safety, like zed or lb. junglers that work well with ezreal are mostly jungelrs that can get him ahead early game, because he snowballs really hard., if you get a good gank or two in from champions like lee sin or elise, and get ahead early, you will become completely unstopabble.
in small fights, or if you decide to fight against the enemy botlane the first thing you DONT waant to do is use your e. your e is to only be used to play defensively, or if you absolutely know you wont be punished for being agressive with it. even with 40% cdr, it wont be up for maybe 8 ish seconds (i think?? correct me if im wrong there) buff your teamates with your w to start a fight, and q every chance you get. if you keep your passive up, and continue to q in fights, your guarenteed a kill, or simply a good trade in lane.
in ranked, picking an ezreal with maybe, an azir or a nidalee is good. the general rule of thumb is to pick your adc depending on what type of comp you want to go for. you wouldnt want to pick ezreal with a team who wants to get in the enemys face like a lucian would be better suited for, and even owrse a team that wants to paly super early game champs, like renekton, lee sin, etc. cc goes well with ezreal, along with a team that has lots of global pressure, like a tf and gp
ezreal is very early-mid game so dont take any uneeded risks, as your already fairly strong this early. if you do fall behind however, a good choice of builds is to go for your iceborn gauntlet, for the kiting and utility of it. and build something like a maw. my generall rule of thumb is this: when ahead, tri-force. when behind: gauntlet
