I've never played Hecarim before, so I can't provide a lot of feedback. But I am curious as to why you'd pick Adaptive Force runes over Attack Speed and Armor.

I'm doing a review on HIS particular build and this is what he takes but I agree you could argue AS is better. I think his reasoning is - because he's mostly looking to permagank the AS gets lower value (in terms of farming etc.) whereas the AD can help you oneshot people easier when you gank early game.
As for the armor part, you are already taking 1 rune for armor and Hecarim is a jungler that's not looking to soak too much dmg but flank people and surprise - the extra dmg comes in handy.
