Story Line
Prior to the formation of the League, Noxus was renowned for a spectacle called The Fleshing. It was a gladiatorial event with a cruel twist: as a fighter won matches, his number of opponents (generally prisoners of war) fought simultaneously would increase. This meant eventual death for every contender, but with unparalleled glory. Xin Zhao, known then as Viscero, was slated to face 300 soldiers, nearly six times the previous record. This was clearly meant to be his final match. Jarvan II, hearing of this unprecedented feat, infiltrated the arena to offer him an alternative: serve Demacia and punish those who ultimately sentenced him to death in exchange for his freedom. Xin Zhao accepted, astonished that a king would risk his own life on his behalf. Under the cover of a prearranged Demacian assault on Noxus, Jarvan liberated Xin Zhao and his 300 opponents. During their retreat, Xin Zhao took a poisoned dart meant for Jarvan. This act of loyalty, from a man who vowed no allegiance, earned Xin Zhao a spot at his side until the day the king died. Now in the service of his son, Jarvan III, Xin Zhao is stepping into a new ring – the Fields of Justice – to fight for his adopted country and to honor the legacy of the man who gave purpose to his life.
"Death is inevitable; one can only avoid defeat."
Demacian Manual of Arms
This Build is strictly based on damage, critical strike and attack speed. Not as a tank or anything so i have put it in easy to follow step-by-step buying methods and simple masteries and Runes, Xin Zhao is a very strong character when he is played properly and has a good team.
Follow my steps to become the "Recking Ball Xin Zhao".
Follow my steps to become the "Recking Ball Xin Zhao".
The Runes i have chosen are simply based on Attack Speed, crit chance and armor pene, these give Xin Zhao a great chance at early game, because his attack speed can easily Proc "Three Talon Strike" making it great for the first kill and for you team mates to help kill the enemy.
Also these runes help Zin Zhao alot in late game because his attack speed and critical strike Chance are nearly capped making him very strong when it comes to surprising enemies or ganking.

The masteries I have chosen are based once again on Critical Chance, Critical damage and Attack Damage, this becomes on of Zin Zhao's key elements in this build and will only work if done like this. Also giving Zin Zhao maximum exp and gold gained early game, helping him to get desired items.
Xin's Abilities are built for Ganking. But in lane he is also a huge threat that due to his utility, makes him so deadly that most champs think they can handle you but you really put up the numbers to drop them quick.
Xin Zhao prepares to unleash a fearsome combo, causing his next 3 standard attacks to deal 15/30/45/60/75 plus physical damage, with the final attack knocking his opponent into the air.
Cooldown: 10 Seconds
Cost: 30 mana
Range: 375
This is your pop up, and bonus damage ability with a low cooldown. Prior to lv 6 I have 2 in this and leave it till last to max cause your other abilities really take priority based on their utility.
Passive: Increases Xin Zhao's attack speed by 20/25/30/35/40%.
Active: Xin Zhao unleashes a battle cry, doubling the passive bonus for 5 seconds, and causing his standard attacks to reduce all other ability cooldowns by 1 second.
Cooldown: 24 / 22 / 20 / 18 / 16
Cost: 35 mana
Range: 20
This is the ability that will keep you dishing out the damage for a long time. Even though it's CDR doesn't work on itself (which would be awesome), it makes it so you can charge, pop, and then auto attack till they are off cooldown again to use. I max this second for its obvious utility in ganks and team fights.
Xin Zhao charges an enemy unit, dealing 70/110/150/190/230 (+0.4) magic damage to all nearby enemies and slowing them by 20/25/30/35/40% for 1.7 seconds.
Cooldown: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12
Cost: 70 mana
Range: 650
This is your combo Closer, and Slow. Reason why I max this first is simple, where as Three Talon Strike just adds small amount of damage, this ability adds more and more slow and overall better damage than Three Talon until you actually get some serious AD built. The 1.7 second slow is more than enough time once you get your Attack Speed up to pop them if you actually level it up to the 40% movement speed reduction.
Xin Zhao unleashes a fierce spear sweep on targets around him, dealing 125/225/325 plus 15% of their current health in physical damage. For 6 seconds, his Magic Resistance and Armor are increased by 5 / 8 / 11 per champion hit.
Cooldown: 75 seconds
Cost: 100 mana
Range: 20
This is your Ult, and what you will, if needed to or if your Off-tanking, initiate with. Your gonna charge in, then ult, then turn on the talon, and let out a battle cry. This will make you Tanky as any tank for the next 6 seconds so once those 6 seconds are up, back off or if your looking great, keep pressing till it hurts.
Xin Zhao restores 30 health for every 3 attacks that he lands. This amount increases by 5 every 2 levels.
This be your passive. Don't let people tell you this is lifesteal...its not, it is simply an on hit effect, ie every 3rd attack you land your gonna heal for a little bit. Thus you can actually race a tower at high level and due to your passive, if your attack speed is high enough and damage, your gonna win. This is also what makes Xin a great sustainable Jungler.

It is important to get the skills in this sequence especially at the start on lvl 1 make sure u always get "Three Talon Strike" to make it easier for you and your team to get the first kill. That 2 seconds while your enemy is in the air can make a huge difference. When going into a fight i find its easiest to use skills in this Order "Battle Cry" -> "Three Talon Strike" -> "Audacious Charge" -> "Crescent Sweep", this is if you are going in with your "Exhaust" and "Ghost" on cd, if they are not on CD i recommend going "Ghost"-> "Battle Cry"-> "Three Talon Strike"-> "Audacious Charge" -> "Exhaust"-> "Crescent Sweep", this will make your damage burst much more devastating, and preventing your enemy from running away.
Pros;
- Huge amount of damage output
- Basically Capped attack speed and Crit chance
- very easily kills people
- wipe out huge amounts of enemy creeps
- very fast in running/traveling across the map
- Gold is farmed very very easily
Cons;
- Gets ganked very often
- needs a bit of team work early game
- Not much of a tank a fair bit squishy
- Easily CC'd

Xin Zhao doesnt really need to start jungling he just needs people to be good at team work once this has happened Xin Zhao can very easily solo all the jungle, on lvl 18 and fully geared Xin Zhao in this build can solo "EVERY" monster in the jungles. But its ok for Xin Zhao to jungle because he can then travel with out being seen to get to a easy ganking position.
