This is my second build on mobafire, this time for Renekton- the butcher of the sands.

When I played this champ in lane it seemed like he had the skill set for a jungler, good sustain and great damage for clearing speeds.

Sure Renekton is not going to be amazing with ganks, but his dash move (E) combined with his stun (W) make him at least competent.

This guide is here to show that Renekton can be a great off-tank jungler who can lay on the damage.

Pros:
+ Very tanky
+ great damage output
+ has nice sustain
+ Fast jungle clear
+ manaless


Cons:
- Slow
- Ganks could be better
- long cooldowns

Renekton builds a fairly standard set of jungle tanky runes.

Explanation:
Marks: x9 desolation (armor penetration)

Why?: Renekton is more about burst damage through his abilities and hitting hard with his auto attack. Armor penetration runes aid this mindset and really helps with his late game, making the transition from jungling to team fighting with ease.

Alternate Marks:
Alacrity x9: if you want your auto attack to be more consistent and do less damage than this is for you, helps a lot with jungle speeds.

Seals:
Resilience x9

why?: These are the standard jungling runes for just about everyone and help the same way here, giving some sturdiness is always needed in the jungle.

Glyphs:

There are 2 roads to go down here, either help with magic resist for late game, or give a boost to cooldown reduction, which is always useful with Renekton.

x9 celerity (cool downs)

Quints
x3 Swiftness:
why?: this is my preferred quint for Renekton, because honestly with out them he is simply too slow to be a jungler, and you will find yourself losing chases and getting caught and killed far more often than with other runes. This is extremely important for ganking and jungle speeds, and overall you will just be a better jungler.

x3 Fortitude
If you want to be less of an assassin and more a supporting tank you may want these instead

Fury management:
to survive and thrive in the jungle, always use his W and E to charge his fury and use it on his Q to gain a good amount of health back. Try not to use it on his other attacks.

Start: Get cloth armor and potions

1st: kill wraiths to start

Next: Get someone to leash red buff, Renekton is manaless so does not really need blue to start. Red also will help with jungle times.

After: Kill golems, use potions when necessary

GANKING TIPS: Try to get behind the enemy, and E in to a W to stun. This is your most effective combo, from there use your Q and and basic attacks.

1st gank: If possible try to get a gank going bot lane, you should be lvl 3 by now and have red buff.

From there: Go back to base for boots, and kill wolves and blue golem. Rinse and repeat.
