Introduction

Renekton is considered by most to be squishy. After playing him for a while I came up with this build that makes him a good dps tank. The funny thing is in most games I have played with this build, after about the 4th kill I get without dying I start to get targeted first by the other team. It's kind of annoying but funny at the same time. If you like this guild or have any suggestions please vote and leave a comment.

Masteries

I go full tank build with Renekton in the masteries for that extra survivability and the increase in hit points helps to increase his damage with the Atma's Impaler. Then I finish in offense for the increased attack speed and exhaust mastery.

Runes

For runes I get armor penetration marks, health per level seals, flat cooldown reduction glyphs, and armor penetration quintessences. Armor pen to allow your attacks to hit there hardest, or atleast harder then your enemy wants you to. Health for even more survivability and damage. Cooldown reduction to allow you to get your abilities off alot more often.

Summoner Spells

For summoner Spells I like to use Teleport and Exhaust. Teleport to allow me to get back into combat, or pushing a lane, after going back to base for items. Exhaust is great for fighting physical damage champions cause it blinds them, slows them, and with the Exhaust mastery it reduces there armor and magic resist letting you hit them harder. Use Exhaust on a Jax and watch him cry as you roll his face off.

Skill Sequence

With Renekton's skills I like to get Cull the Meek first for the health recovery it gives then I get Slide and Dice for the early harassment. I get Cull the meek when ever able. I then get Ruthless Predator for it's stun and damage. I max Cull the Meek first fallowed by Slice and Dice to keep health recovery and damage as high as I can do to the decrease in cooldown. In one on one fights this will help you win. Dominus is gotten as normal at 6th, 11th, and 16th level.

Items

For Items I start with the Ruby Crystal. As you gain money get the regrowth Pendant and boots of speed. Get the Ionain boots of Lucidity then finish your Warmogs Armor. Next you want ot work on the Atma's Impaler So that all that health you are getting is being put to good use. Next I normally work on the Sunfire Cape but if you are up against a hish ability power team get the Banshees Veil fallowed by the Sunfire Cape. Next get the Frozen Mallet for the extra damage and slowing it will give your attacks. If you have room left get the Spirit Visage. At this point in time you are probably winning so go /dance on there nexus. :)

Other situational items are the Guardian Angel or Thorn Mail. Guardian Angel for when you are up against a hard well feed team that is barely winning team fights and killing you first. Thorn Mail for if you are getting jumped by heavy physical Dps like Master Yi and Jax. Force of Nature is Good for when you are up against strong AP groups. Mercury Treads for if you are up against lots of CC's.

Early game

Early game you should play Defensively unless you have a power dps with you, then you want to draw attacks so that the Dps can kill them as the attempt to jump you. Try and use Cull the Meek and Slice and Dice to make it hard for them to keep hitting you and to escape when you need to. Mostly Just Stay back and jump in to finish off some minion and jump out.

Mid Game

At this point in time you should have Atma's Impaler, or atleast working on it. During this time you should help push lanes and be with the tank to be bate for team jumps. If done properly you and the tank should be able to withstand the first few volleys from the other team so that your team can jump in and kill them with less of an issue.

Late Game

Late in the game you should have high hit points and decent armor and the always good Sunfire Cape. At this time your team is hopefully working well together. Stick with your team and push lanes as a unit. If slowed cause the other team is turtling there tower, then try and draw them out with your tank and use Ruthless Predator to allow your team to kill them before they can flee. Very late game you and the tank should be able to dive towers and take the tower blast so the power dps can kill the enemy champions or burn down the tower.

Skill Tips and Tricks

Slice and Dice is a very versatile skill. With it I generally use it early game to jump into the middle of the minions then use Cull the Meek and jump out. Other usefull tricks are to use it to dodge abilities like Lux's laser beam or Nidalee's spear throw. If you dive into combat then do your combo of Ruthless Predator fallowed by Cull the Meek and Dice out to the side rather then straight back most enemy players expect you to jump back and will try and hit you as you jump.

Another trick is to wait in bushes where you know an enemy is headed or when an ally is being chased. Just as the enemy champion gets to you hit them with Ruthless Predator fallowed by Cull the Meek and Slice and Dice.
