Not going to say I don't agree with you. The problem is you can't get every stat and you are forced to choose, specially when your champion needs armor+hp+mdef. Regarding the armor pen, I though the same as you when I saw someone with a similar build, so I tried it out. It's surprising how much damage you can deal with just the armor pen from masteries, also take in mind that Renekton early game consist on hiting the other guy as well as the minions to recover HP, more damage means more HP gained from minions (less from champions with armor, but that ammound is multiplied x4), it also means faster jungle invasions. Of course if the other team starts stacking armor like mad to counter you, you need to get a Black cleaver right away.

The 3% movement speed buff is nice buuut I'm rarely 100% HP when I'm in lane, I'm always trading my HP for my enemy HP, and then recovering as much as posible with Q, also it's a nice way to bait them when you have your ult ready. CDR is VERY important for Renekton but I can't add it to the items, so that little boost to CDR from masteries is pretty nice.

Atma has 3 objectives: more armor -> more damage -> crit chance. If I only wanted damage I would get a pure damage item (black cleaver is op for Rene if you don't need that much survival), but the combination of Atma, Frozen Mallet and a possible 6th HP item (Solar cape) it's quite devastating. Also keep in mind you don't need to hit 300+ AD, just 200+ is fine, and with this item combination you reach that ammount.

Of course there are different opinions, that's why there are different guides ^^

I'll give you some pointers :)

your ad runes are only good with some armor penetration. so get something like black cleaver or last whisper. If you don't want those, take armor penetration runes. marks and quints :)

you should get the 3% movement speed in the defensive tree, it's really good.

also, atmas impaler is really bad without the needed hp. froEn mallet isn't quite enough, so I would advise you replace that.

do some coding. look at jhoijhois guide to making a guide. You really need it. you guide looks pretty blah and boring.
