Hi, I´m Fraekei and since there are problems with the Servers i decided to do create my first Build. I´m from Germany and im sorry if my Englisch istn´t the best so feel free to correct me if you think it´s necessary. For a few Days now i play a lot of Rengar, so i chosse him for my first build because i think it´s a very interesting champ.

Rengar is so interesting for me because he is one of these hybrid Champions. On the one hand he is this assassin that is able to deal a lot of Damage in a short time, can easily kill sqishy targets and has his stealth ultimate. On the other hand he is a bruiser that has sustain with his Battle Roar, that is especially important in 3vs3.

It´s fun for me to play Rengar, because of the unique way his abilties work. If well played he can be a very strong Champion in different situations, because you can decide which abiltiy you want to use with his Ferocity and which effect you want to cause.

I also have to admit that i used one of the guides here too, when i started playing Rengar and my Guide has a lot in common with it. I did this guide for 3vs3 of my favourite build but i also feel responsible to link the guide here. SoH's Solotop Rengar Guide - Feral Instinct (UPDATED)
You might understand that the strucutre of my guide looks like this too, because i needed something like a pattern for my first guide.

PROS
+ Tanky + high Burst
+ High mobility
+ Hard to Counter
+ No mana problems

CONS
- Oracle's Elixir counter to Thrill of the Hunt
- Easy to kite without Bushes and Thrill of the Hunt
- Only cc is Bola Strike
- Hard to Manage Ferocity

Rengar is ver ystrong in early game, so i use Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage to support this. Rengar has the potential to Snowball so you get the Damag of your items in Lategame.

Since Season 3 is Armor Pen an important stat so i use Greater Mark of Armor Penetration

Greater Seal of Armor is great for solo lane and because we go for Spirit Visage early and only as final Option for Armor this is a good choice. Also with the Bonus of Battle Roar you have enough armor

For the Glyphes i choose Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist so you have Magicresist too. It is importent for me but if you think u get Spirit Visage early enough you can choose an amror option here too or something but i never tried.

Most of the time i use Flash and Ignite. Flash doesnt interrupt Thrill of the Hunt and i think its one of the best Summoner spells. Ignite is simple to use, reduces heal so you can kill champs like Volibear and Mundo easier or you just get save kills by igniting running away enemies.

There is not much more to tell. Sometimes i also use Exhaust if noone else take it or we already have two ignite.

You might wonder why i max Battle Roar first. Well actually it´s simple because you get high sustain of it. The armor and magic resist bonus is great and with Ferocity you can heal yourself. Also it deals magic damage and if you play solo the most enemys will have armor but no magic reistance.

Also in 3vs3 you wont find as many squishy champs as in 5vs5, so i max Savagery second for dealing huge damage later. With the cooldown items you will be able to use Savagery very often and max your damage.

Bola Strike is the only cc of Rengar so i pick it first, but later i would say it is not as often used as your other skills so the cooldown u get by leveling it up isnt worth it and you should have it still ready anytime you need it.

I think i dont have to explain much to Thrill of the Hunt. >ou can get out of Bad situations with surviving three seconds under damage or enter teamfights (or just 1vs1) with full Ferocity and do either max Damage by using Savagery or heal yourself with Battle Roar. Its always a plus in fights and they wont see you coming.

I always start with Boots and Ruby Crystal. I dont have to explain the boots. They give you mobility and i think it is one of the importenst items. Also i choose health on almost every champ. U can survive more damage no matter if ap or ad and can stay in lane to farm. At start the most damage is dealt by abilties and runes, so for me is health the best start.

Then i rush for The Brutalizer to get first cooldownreduction and damage. The armor Penetration also helps against Runes of enemys and early tank buys.

Next i purchase Ionian Boots of Lucidity for getting more mobility and cooldownreduction
After that i go for max cooldownreduction with Spirit Visage. Spirit Visage is one of the most importent items in this build. It gives the most cooldownreduction and pushes your heal of Battle Roar so you get max sustain.

As you see i concentrate on cooldwonreduction, and in my eyes this is the best u can do with Rengar. You can nearly spam your skills and get Ferocity to 5 in no time. You still have to look about it but the possibility to cast a skill twice with the ferocity and also a bigger effect makes Rengar very strong. Thrill of the Hunt on level 3 and max cooldownreduction has only 42 cooldown and makes Rengar even stronger in lategame.

You should be able to get this items very fast and after this there is another item for Rengar that is very importent for me. Because Bola Strike is Rengars only cc Frozen Mallet is one of the strongest items on Rengar. You get enough health for your role as Bruiser and get enough cc for Rengar to be an acceptable champ.

Now you just finish Black Cleaver and feel free to build your own stuff. most 3vs3 are over at this point so i only suggest to get more tanky with Randuin's Omen or get some amror pen with Last Whisper

The Last thin to mention is the Bonetooth Necklace. I don´t use it in this built. It is too weak for an early item and not worth it anymore in lategame since you dont get enough trophies anymore, especially in 3vs3. The only situation i would by this item is against a Kha'Zix at level 16 for the "mini game" If you defeat Kha'Zix first it will change to Head of Kha'Zix that has the full buff of Bonetooth Necklace. But be careful. If Kha'Zix kills you first he will be able to do a fourth evolution.
