this is my first guide and I will share my secrets on how to play my favourite Champion: Riven
The reason why shes my favourite is easy to explain. I had two Pentakills with her before I was lvl 30. Her high mobility makes it almost impossible for your enemys to flee. The AOE damage in combination with her awesome and unique Ultimate, makes some easy Multi-kills.

Riven should be ONLY build on AD. Bloodthirster and her E Shield, which stacks on AD make her really Tanky. Also, if you're on low hp with a Bloodthirster and your enemy thinks he can beat you, you suprise him with your combos and lifesteal and beat him with 15% hp vs Full HP! Her passive gives her unbelievable extra damage for basic atack so if you add 20% Ad by the ulti, your passive and 40 Bloodthirster stacks, you will be able to 3 Hit your enemy! They wont even know what happend.

Shes my main champion and i fell deep in love with her. If you want to watch some pro Riven play, go check out BestRivenNA on Twitch/Youtube. He knows how to play Riven (altho I use a different strategy on build). But you can decide which is the right one. All i can say is, I love Riven and i had most of the fun with her in lol, and whoever faces me on toplane, i dont fear any of Rivens counters!

Riven is much fun to play and if played right, you wont fear any Opponent Champion on Toplane. Yorick? No problem. Vladimir? Whos that? Shen? Come on! Jax? Beatable!

Due to your passive the Basic attack (+hit) will do most damage mid game. (+100~)

MOST DAMAGE SEQUENCE

R -> E OR Q in -> hit -> W+hit -> Q+hit -> Q+hit -> [Q+hit] or [E for shield during your combos or to chase your enemy] -> R SLASH [Ignite/Flash to enemy]

Poke

E or Q or both in -> W+hit -> Q+hit -> Q+hit -> [Q] or [E] out

Flee

W (To stun them, if they are in reach) -> E -> Q, Q, Q

Remember

1.If you're fed in early/mid game you can use your ulti if they have arround 40% Hp and they will die. SO you dont need the full damage combo until you use your Slash.

Explanation

AD RUNES: If you win early game you get your items and you are unbeatable
Armor per level: you dont need that much armor early game, trust me, you need them for enemy carry later
Magic resist: You need it for the early poke by, for example Jayce, Yorick etc

Skill sequence: Q Does most damage. Long time i maxed W, its nice for poke but Q is unbelievable damage. E Stacks well with attack damage. R gives you 20% AD, passive gives you tons of AD for basic atacks. You can 2-3 Hit your enemys if you re fed.

Items: Most important thing is you get brutalizer and a Bloodthirster! Boots can wait, you have a high mobolity! After that you can choose to take another BT or go for Armor penetration, or YUMUS ghostblade even (i like the active, good for pentas). Endgame should be Guardians Angel and if you get high magic damage, get the MAW.

Summoner Spells
Flash and Ignite
Heal or exhaust depends on Opponents. But i usually dont use them. Rest is useless for Riven!

Pros

+Holy**** Damage and durability [(AOE+STUN+ AD by ULTI+PASSIVE) + LIFE STEAL] = OWNAGE
+AOE Ulti clears battlefield if enemys have low hp
+Only a few champions to fear if played right. Olaf, Irelia, Jax, Darius (still beatable! all of them!)
+hard to gank and to dive her

-Lategame! Probably her only big weakness. Shes only AD and until you get close to enemy carry you re low on hp.
-takes some time to learn..
+Bloodthirster is YOUR item, so if someone stuns you, you dont get into melee range and cant steal their lifes and you probably die if you fight multiple enemys. CC is your enemy!
-manage your cooldowns!
