Just saying I have played Rammus both ways a lot and
No one has mentioned the shorter CD on
when you are moving at in the 600-900 range in movement speed you are dumb if you run into a minion. You can cut a huge arc and still catch the carry. Not to say it (hiting minions) never happens, but it shouldn't be the norm. If you are running into minions every time with mobility boots/powerball/ghost then you have the pathing intelligence of the ai in AOE1

Wow interesting. I will experiment with the hourglass. Cant believe I have never thought of it. Does the hourglass work after taunt?
I have played Rammus with flash and ghost and cannot see myself ever using flash again.
