Since people seem to be looking at this new post more than some of the really solid older ones, I will comment a bit to try and help out:

Yes, you want MPen over AP. Fiddle's skills scale very poorly with AP, so lots of MPen is more useful even in the early-mid game against people who aren't stacking resist. You want to cut through their base resist at all stages. His Ult does plenty of damage as long as it isn't heavily resisted. I would replace the AP runes with CDR Glyphs and either Health or Dodge Seals. Marks and Quints should both give MPen.

Unless you have a great team and are a really awesome player yourself, going Mejai's in conjunction with a glass cannon build is counter-effective. You will die too often to build up any useful stacks. I suggest getting your RoA early for AP, Mana, and Health. You want it earlier anyway as it takes 15 minutes to max out its bonuses. If the game goes on longer I like to throw in a Rylai's for additional AP + Health/survivability.

While I agree with the skill progression for the most part, I like to get another point or two of drain earlier on. It isn't always feasable to have your teammates help you kill Golem, and 2 points in Drain makes that more feasable (and 3 makes it relatively quick and easy.) And yes, you definitely want the mana/CDR buff with Fiddle. Casting more spells more often makes a HUGE difference on this champ! Of course, that also means that you want to change the masteries a bit as well, as you want those buffs to last longer.

Love this build definately giving fiddlefudge another go tonight with this build see if i can be offensive aswell.

I loved the defensive one and considered purchasing fiddle with my IP. if i like the offensive build i'm sure i'll buy him would make the char so versatile.
