Introduction

Hello and welcome to my Ryze guide. First thing I should say is that a lot of the inspiration for this build came from Junsupport's build
"Ryze-Mana Carry(Guiding past Misconceptions of Ryze)"

I never really cared for any casters until one day I was random locking champions with my friends and I got stuck with Ryze. My first thoughts were "oh shoot, I have no idea how to play an ap carry" so I did a quick mobafire search while the game was loading and stumbled across his build. By the end of the game I had decided that Ryze was probably the most entertaining champion I have ever played.

However as I grew more experience with Ryze, my preferences for skilling priorities, item orders, and skill rotations diverged from Junsupport's build. So I decided to come here and make a build.

Items

The first thing that should be cleared up about Ryze's build is that even though you will end up with the same 5 items EVERY game, the order in which you purchase items should change every game based on the opposing team. Here are a few simple break downs on different item openings and midgame changes

For going against early game harass open with boots and pots
