This guide needs a bit updating for example "All of renekton's abilities go right through jax's dodge" Incorrect, they changed the dodge/blind mechanics ages ago in season 5 sometime in which jax will dodge ALL cc type basic attacks including the cc itself for example garen q, tf w, renekton's w of course, and for some reason it doesn't dodge aatrox w for whatever reason. For this reason, yourself stun will force yourself to get cc'd while Jax still hits you, and if you engaged with e, and try to disengage with e, he can follow you with his q, and win the trade. He also out scales you quite hard too, in my opinion, renekton only works vs jax in lower elo where they let renekton get away with using spells for free without punishing him.

Bortk got buffed, thus is viable, and built often by Renekton players based on situation.

Next, my opinion on Unyielding is really bad because early/mid game it does almost nothing, and at best gives you around 1-2 armor/mr if you buy tabi's/mercs which does almost nothing, and if you have 149 bonus armor from deadman's + tabi + randiuns you get 25 armor or so which isn't much, and only benefits you late in which renekton is an early game champ, extra regen is better imo. Unyielding is good for champs who stack armor early or get armor from skills such as Rammus and Malphite

First of all
I really don't understand this build especially the core items that u said they are :black cleaver,titanic and locket. I think with those items u will lack damage so bad and u wont take advantage of the early-mid game power of renekton
and second of all why would you take Courage of the Collossus over Fervor who synergize so good with the abilities. Courage is only viable in a game where u want to play safer and go for a tankier build but over all I won't recommend it
My opinion is to stick to the core ( ravenous,black cleaver) then go for 2 deff items ( SV, Randuin) and for the masteries 12-0-18. Runes are pretty decent o would personally get the 5% CDR and you will definetly succeed with renekton :)

How do you play the jax matchup? I just played it, and it seems like letting him enagage, use your q,dash out, then dash in and aa w. Is this how you play it? I had a really hard time trading, i would just e q e and then he would leap on me and the trade would be meh.

If you watch his stream he never plays top lane without Teleport, on any character.

The Ignite in the guide might be an old setup, but currently he's abusing teleport even between backs to buy, TP to make a play, go back to base and then roam to lane.
