Introduction
3v3 is all about the jungle, and this is why were getting Doran's Blade and Madred's Razors. Doran's Blade will increase your survivability as well as +10 damage and some lifesteal. Razor's which will be upgraded to a Wriggle's Lantern is a must on either 3v3 or 5v5 with Shaco, as it will greatly increase the speed of which he can jungle. Boots are up to you. on 5v5 I would most likely get Boot's of Mobility, but on 3v3 they aren't needed. Berserker's Greave's are nice for jungling, but Merc's and Tabi are good choices as well. Time for the big items, Cleaver and T Force. Black Cleaver is such an underrated item in the game. It's one of the best for Shaco as your clone receives the on-hit effect and it provides good damage and attack speed. Plus if you have another AD carry on your team(highely likely) then it benefits them as well. T Force is another must buy on Shaco, and every stat it gives is perfect, but we are mostly getting this for the Sheen proc, movement speed, and health and mana. After that I personally get Infinity Edge and if you Deceive and hit an opponet in the back(Shaco's passive- Backstab: Shaco deals 20% more damage from behind) not only will you have 120% bonus damage but 150% from Trinity, and since it crit's it will do 50% more for your crit. Frozen mallet is amazing on Shaco if you look at the fact that he already slows with his E, and the HP is the main reason were getting this. Lastly you can sell your Wriggle's for a Thirster and try to farm it up to its maximum potential.
You take 1 point in W because I like having the fear plus the really good damage. If you are jungling then a really good tactic is to start at Lizard, but be very careful. Most people will know you are starting there and will interupt your Boxes'. We take Deceive at level 2 just for the mobility, plus the crit is nice. After those 2 skills you want to max your Two-Shiv Poison every time you can. One of Shaco's best skills. Max this by level 9, then Deceive, then your Boxes' and of course your ultimate every time you can.
If you're not running Smite on either 3v3 or 5v5 with Shaco, you are doing it all wrong. Smite on 3v3 is THE best summoner spell in the game for this map. If you control the jungle, you control the game, simple as that. Dragon is much more beneficial on 3v3 as it is on 5v5 because of the buff it gives, and Lizard, Wolfs', and Wraiths' are important and nice buffs.
Ignite is very good because the true damage is nice but also another benefit is that on 3v3 Mundo is picked quite a lot and Ignite is the perfect spell to counter him.
Exhaust can also be taken instead of Ignite and is a very good spell.
Flash and Ghost aren't that effective on Shaco since he is probably the best escaper in the game, but still are decent choices.
I wouldn't reccomend any other summoner spell's other than these ones.

I personally lane on Shaco on 3v3. Most of the time I will try and get Red buff at the start which is very good for me and my team. If I do get Red buff I will gank when top when I hit level 2 with Deceive. If you're jungling here is a good route to take http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLD6x6j4_5A Make sure you take Cloth Armour and 5 HP Pots if you're jungling instead.
Most people think Shaco isn't good in team fights. This is true on 5v5 but not on 3v3. You always wait for your tankiest character to initiate and then you go in after they've burned all their CC and abilities. Focus their squishies down and make sure that you don't Deceive into the fight as that will be your escape/chasing skill. That's one big mistake a lot of new Shaco players make.
Shaco's Deceive is a huge advantage. Not only is it a huge advantage because of stealth but because you can go over walls with it, which is why he is a great ganker. His Boxe's are super important. Everytime they're off cooldown make sure you drop some. They act as mini wards and are very good. His ultimate can pop projectiles like Karthus's ultimate and other spells such as Sion's Cryptic Gaze.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g58bOxVBVlk
Shaco is a very underrated champion for 3v3. I do not reccomend him for 5v5 though as he is not as good. Once you get the hang of him he can be very easy to play and you will learn all the tricks and since Riot is planning to fix his currently 26 bugs, he will be a lot more viable. Unfortunately I can't tell you all of Shaco's tricks as I use some that most people will never know, kind of my secret. I hope you've learned a lot and even if you do bad your first ganes with him, he is one of the hardest champions to learn and with this guide I hope I make it easier.
