Frozen Heart and Banshee's Veil are staple on champions with bad/no mana growth, like Shen. I'd say he could consider Manamune as well, but that's more useful on attack damage champions such as Tryndamere.

That's why I always take blue buff. Always out of mana. I do the same with Garen.

But Frozen Heart is better? :P Especially because Shen always runs out of mana!

Thornmail is obviously a BS item, and a single Rylais is not good enough to be cost effective.

And your runes for jungle are ****. Don't ever use armor blues.
