Hi! Welcome to the shen game changer guide. In this guide I will be showing you how I build shen and why that always turns the game around. I played him twenty-five times and I won in all of them. This is my first build guide so if you have any compliments or comments, feel free to tell me. :) Shen was my main champion ever since I played this game and I loved playing him. Until the nerfs that took him to the ground, I've been raging in the forums. An AP buff is ok I guess. Now with a ult energy use gone, I guess hes better. I wasn't that great with him after the nerf because his nerf made him incredibly weak and he is not the type who can run away with 1 hp anymore. Well most of the time.
But I played him in Dominion and let me tell you, hes great as a tank. I built him tanky in the masteries as you can see. I can guess that you are disappointed because it is mostly defence. But shen needs it so oh well. :D

Shen's build is mostly on tank in Dominion. I hear from other players that Ap shen is way better in Dominion. What I see is a squishy ninja toy. Shen should be built tanky whether it is armor or magic resist or health or health regen.

Cons:
Squishy if AP or AD
Energy usage is too big and not enough.
Vorpal blade is too weak and little heal
Ult is too weak mid and late game.
Shadow dash is shorter than before.
Just too much NERF.
CD is too much.
Tanky shen shield is weaker than Ap shen shield.
If KSing, team rages and blames you.
Low damage

I go for armor pen, mr, armor, health, health regen, and cd reduction.
MR, armor, health, and health regen for stronger tank play.
Cd reduction cuz his cd is way too long and makes me rage when he can vorpal blade a 10 hp champion.

SO items that are great for him can be FON, atmas, warmogs, banshees, GA, sunfire, HOG, boots of mobility or boots of ludicity, and hextech gunblade.

Heal is a great spell to use when your team is low and you guys are being chased. Your team will then turn around and fight back which gives a victory.

Flash is a spell used nicely when shen wants to position his taunt or save an ally by taunting an enemy.

Exhaust is great too because it slows the enemy in teamfights or 1 v 1 when chasing AND it lowers his/her damage.

Ghost is used commonly in dominion since it can speed up shen at the start to taunt the enemies so your team can go in and finish the job.

Surge is okay. I mean attack damage and speed is useful for shen but you're the tank.

Garrison is great for shen because it kind of reminds me of fortify. Actually it is fortify. When shen is surrounded or running away he can garrison one of the turrets and boom triple kill or something.

Ignite is excellent too since it can finish off the enemy shen TRIES to kill since shen is weak as hell.

Revive can save your teammates since your enemies will be like "Hey! Shen's gone! Let's kill them!" Then you revive and ult and boom they're destroyed...maybe..
