I don't understand why most of the comments are criticizing this guide, the person has definitely put in a lot of time and effort into it as you can see in the text, all this needs is some little minor improvements, I for 1 really like this guide and will use it a lot thanks! :)

Hello Finkypop!

Your guide inspired the name for my guide's name change, so I thought that I owe you some sort of compensation. I'm going to do a basic review of your guide. So here goes:

Items: overall pretty well put together. Try to break up your core a bit (maybe have a section for trinkets just to make that section of the items a bit shorter).

Also, I would try to go over enhancements for boots. Why don't you recommend homeguard (why is furor your best bet).

Introduction: there seems to be a coding error as you have the head of cassiopeia but you don't have cassiopeia It doesn't look like this: Cassiopeia. Try italics, bold, or both instead of capitalization for emphasis. try and stray away from run-on sentences. It's nice to have varying lengths of sentences, but try to keep it to a certain point. You are nowhere near low elo, my friend.

Why Play Cassiopeia? What to look out for?: I personally think that just the heads breaks up the text too much and it ends up making spaces in your paragraphs. Try using LeBlanc and Annie instead of whatever you happen to be using. try adding more stuff like Twin Fang because that adds a lot of color to the guide. do as many of those as possible, and you will start to notice how much more pleasing your guide looks to the eye. Plus, it gives someone a link to a ability description if they aren't sure what it is.

What do my spells do?: as aforementioned, I think, personally, that bold looks much more aesthetically pleasing than CAPS.

Passive: other than what is mentioned above, your description of the passive was well thought out and executed

Q: high ranged built in smart-casted low cooldown is a very long description of one ability. try to cut down on it (maybe high range low cooldown ability).

W: Well described.
E: """
R: """

Ruens: the runes in the rune section feel unnaturally bulky. It could be justified if the descriptions of the runes were longer (which they don't really need to be), but otherwise it just feels very yeah... bulky.

Summoner spells: Break up the chapter. It's way too long and hard to read with all of it in one wall of text. try breaking them up into two or three separate paragraphs as it is definitely justified.

Simple Mathematics: You seem to have some coding errors. nothing too big.

Summary: Your spelling and grammar are superb. I don't think i noticed any spelling or grammar mistakes. Break up your wall's of texts a bit more as that makes it a lot harder to read. Your goal isn't to get the information out, it is to keep the reader interested enough to read what you have wrote. There were a couple of errors coding wise and some aesthetic changes that you can consider. also, the size of things such as in your item section etc. seem way too varying. try to keep to a consistent size for stuff such as the runes in the rune section. it makes the guide overall look much more pleasing. But, I definitely found this to be a very superb guide (much better than mine in my opinion). Keep up the amazing work. 9.75/10! and a upvote to boot.

Hey. I can see you explain the guide really nice. One thing I just want to ask about is the runes. Why don't you have runes on the top of the page? You explain them nicely further down in your guide and gj on that, but it should be easier to find them I think. Maybe put them up on the top of the page? Or is it a reason that you haven't done it? :)

I put them in at the top, thank you for bringing it to my attention. 8)

great guide. Unlike you though i actually very much enjoyed playing her on my first game. I play alot of adc and her playstyle is somewhat similar so I'm thinking that i will do well with her in the long run.

I've been wanting to play Cassiopeia for a long time, but I didn't really have the courage because she is so difficult. I just played my first normal game with her, and your guide was a great help! I knew exactly what to expect, what to look out for, and how to use her skills effectively. It eased my nervousness and thanks to your guide, I was able to perfectly keep my calm in tight situations. I even got to use the flash ult (pressing R before flashing) and it worked out great.

Thank you so much for making this guide!

This is an awesome guide. I especially loved the roaming and gameplay section as it is helpful to pretty much all mid champs, not limiting to Cass. Something I love to see and look for in guides are a couple full-game commentaries which are super helpful for visually explaining the gameplay and situational item paths.

As a Cassi player, I'd have to be another to suggest getting Tear for your mana, over any other mana item in the game. The active and AP from Seraph's Embrace are absolutely insane, and what she needs is a larger mana pool -- not a higher regen. With the speed that Twin Fangs come out in fights, or baron/dragon, you burn through mana extremely quickly, so more than the amount of regen she has, it's the size of her mana pool that is important. Additionally, while only a minor point, a larger mana pool synergizes more cleanly with her Twin Fang than a lot of regen.

As for your masteries, I would forego utility for defensive ones, and I'd take arcane blade over double-edged sword, as Cassiopeia is ranged.

For items, I would actually recommend a boots-pots start. Tons of sustain, freedom to dodge skill-shot champs, and the speed boost makes it even easier to land Noxious Blast and follow-up with Twin Fang. I find that to be more useful than Doran's Ring. And while I do get a Tear early, I typically don't finish it until much later, instead going straight into Zhonya's into Rylai's.

Rylai's is an item with a lot of mixed opinion on it, especially as her skills are mostly AoE, and have a reduced slow, but with Twin Fang, you get the full affect of the slow which just makes it very easy to land Noxious Blast and finish them with Twin Fang.

Typically, I pass over Will, as well, because she doesn't really need the spell vamp. It can help her survive more, yes, but I'd consider it quite situational depending on the needs of the team.

A typical build I run on Cassi is Sorc, Zhonya's, Rylai's, Seraph's Embrace, Void, and either Rabadon's or something like GA or BV for the sixth slot.

Another thing this does, though, is it frees up blue buff for another member of your team. Cassi's passive + masteries give her a free 30% CDR, and her mana pool is massive, so neither portion is very strong on her late. Early on a blue or two is useful, but it can go to other places late game, as it's not nearly as necessary on her as with most mages.

All in all, though, nice guide.

Awesome guide, very well written.

Oh, and I'm not sure if it is because you're updating the guide with the new changes coming out, but there is no ability section or mastery section.
Kamikaze Frog | December 4, 2014 3:53pm
I liked it, but still could use a few things updated in the description to account for beta rift changes in current gameplay. Also, not having a masteries section would make it harder for newer players reading this.
