I prefer to use Sight Ward instead, although there are times I wish I had Clairvoyance. However Teleport plays a vital role in this strategy, and it seems like it has somewhat a greater effect than Clairvoyance. Judging by her ms, that doesn't really take effect until late-game where I do realize Teleport can be overkill, but it allows you to guard turrets and quickly get back together with your team.
Sadly I got very little reasoning with Clairvoyance, although I love using the spell. But compared to wards I find it quite random or inhuman to predict movements and spot the enemy with it, (I've seen it be done, and got a few shots myself but most of them is just being paranoid). Other than that it can be used to check brushes, and get sight over an area so that you can hit with Hymn of Valor.
Bottomline: Clairvoyance is a good option for those who prefer it.

They canceled the show really quickly, right? I don't remember, but I think they only made like a half season or something.
Now for the first relevant comment about your build!
I'd definetly take Clairvoyance over Teleport since Sona already has a decent amount of ms with her movespeed increasing spell.
