Miserable!

I'm attempting to practice this. I've successfully played Soraka this way twice, now it's a matter of figuring out what worked, what didn't, and why. Thanks for the guide. When successful, I get a lot of "Soraka, how are you doing this?!" It's very satisfying.

put ryze in your counters. just got destroyed by one

I got Soraka some time ago and tried to play support builds.
Didn't work really, i was kinda noobish and i kept losing. Because of that, i didn't play Soraka much and used to hate her for that.

I for long time i hadn't seen Soraka on winning side at all, even if enemy team had it.

Until i found this build / guide, used it on Soraka and first match, there was soraka vs soraka in teams.

I think i might have turned into a better player or just because build worked better for me and to the champion, we won the game.

After that match, i have been playing Soraka many, many wonderful times and have had always fun with her!

I actually run a similar build myself. Though instead of zohnyas i gun for Lich bane. I find that the combo of Lich/Rylai's/Liandry's is really mean. Then if the game is still going at the point (which for some reason for me games are super long) i start building Abyssal and Rabadon's for extra umph late game
