When I saw this on the front page, I thought it was someone just trolling or having fun with bronze ideas. Does this actually work out successfully in Platinum?

The reason I'm asking is that the Support role is an extremely important position for heros who can either provide consistent peel, lane presence, or sustain(or all 3) & I'm wondering if Shaco can fill that role correctly, given he only has 2 major but short CC's & 1 slow CC, 1 being great when you position the box in a spot, 1 being potentially useless against an opposing tank like Leona or Taric if you aren't skilled with the clone, & the last one being good poke against the carry, but all 3 being extremely mana costly.

Being a support means being consistent with your team, & Shaco has never really been much of a team player in team fights but has always made an intimidating impression due to his kill potential when Jungling, making him frightening when they don't have sights on you.

Even when he is being a team player, his odds of survival drop a steep hill in most scenarios involving him being active in team fights. & even if this guide does ensure that his survival is guaranteed for team fights, is it because he disengages with his Deceive?

Shaco's base hp starts at 587 then 2100 at level 18. He's extremely squishy until then, which, at that point, any assassin, mage, or well-farmed ADC can shred through & if I'm calculating this correctly,(Probably not), you end up with 3770HP respectively.

Armor without the 10% from Conditioning & Ninja Tabi is 197.5.
With Tabi, it's 217.5.
With the 10%, it's 239.25 respectively.

Magic Resist is 91.4 without the 10% from Conditioning or MR from Mercury's Treads.
With Mercury's Treads, it's 116.4.
With 10% from Conditioning, it's 128.04 respectively.

These are all assuming you are at Level 18 & full build with either boot path, without the shielding effect from Guardian. *Feel free to correct me, I've been trying to understand league math better.*

In a way, it would seem to benefit you more to build Ninja Tabi then swap them out for Mercury's Treads later on if your income allows it.(Depending on how well their AP has been dominating your team.)

Assuming any of this is correct, does this build actually make Shaco an active, physical Team-Player? or is it just another attempt at making a Kill lane for the giggles?

It works in Platinum and I got to platinum playing almost exclusively shaco support. so not only does it work, you can climb with it. There is a guy in LAN who is a shaco support one-trick who is master tier.

Shaco is a team player . it's not a kill lane unless they come at you. a leona who hits 3 boxes when she chases you, discovers she's not as much of a tank as she might have thought. a zed that tries to assassinate the adc while he's standing on boxes will find it quite difficult, especially when you have both ignite and exhaust.

attempts to gank a lane that's surrounded in boxes, also quite difficult. At level one you can maintain 3-4 boxes, but soon you will be able to maintain 5 with some cdr.

As far as mana, poking with E for damage is a waste of mana. use E only when the slow would be useful.

your Censer can buff the entire team, potentially, and in some team comps your could also go full damage. (usually there should be 3+ melee champs on enemy team in order to make this worthwhile)
